Is AOS Bill Invoice Number the Same as IV Bill Invoice Number?

Hi,

I just received an email from NVC saying that they had received my DS3032 - Nomination of Agent. They said that the IV Bill will now be sent to the Agent (My Petitioner, darling husband).

I logged into the US state site to check if the AOS Bill status has changed to 'Paid' but it hadn't yet but then I noticed next to the IV Bill it now said 'Not Paid'. So when I went to select it to pay the IV Bill, nothing happened i.e. it did not go to the payment screen. Then it occured to me that there is probably something on the IV Bill like a INvoice NUmber. So I was curious from others who have been through this - Is the Invoice Number the same on both AOS Bills and IV Bills?

Hey Corinne,

I also waiting for DS-3032 to be accepted. Like you, I also noticed that my IV bill was NOT PAID. But when I selected it, I was able to pay it and go to next screen for payment and complete the transaction. Right now, it says IN-PROCESS. I still have not received DS-3032 acceptance email but I know they've it since last Tuesday.

So, in short, I don't think IIN # are different for both bills and I also didn't read anywhere about anything special in paying IV bill.

Yes, the IIN numbers are the same. Once the choice of agent has been accepted you should be able to pay the IV bill. If it didn't work now then try it a bit later or tomorrow. If you check there was a previous thread that dealt with the website having some glitches where paid bills turned to unpaid, it just may be a system glitch that will be resolved soon or you can call and inquire also. Good luck.

Thanks so much for your reply. I went back into the system and was able to pay the IV Bill!!!!! Yippee, I have never been so happy paying a bill before! :dance: :dance: :dance:

I was wondering, can we send the AOS and DS230 now that the bills have been paid OR do we need to wait for something else?

As soon as the payment status shows up as PAID, you can send both packages... I don't think there is anything that you need to wait for.
