Hey guys, just to let everyone know I changed the info on the consulate page for the Medisys Clinic in Montreal...it went up to $215 from $210.

Anyone who has already interview at the consulate in Montreal, I am taking my car, is there parking close by or should I just take the shuttle bus from my hotel by the airport? THANKS

I live an hour from Montreal and go there 1-2 times per week. Parking is considered a major industry in Montreal and they seriously enforce it. Parking tickets are steep $37 + minimum. Parking is always difficult downtown, but walking is easy. If you can take a buss,do so by all means. Montreal also has an excellent (and extremely quiet) subway system.

The parking meters in Montreal (alomsot all of them now) are of the "kiosk" type where you can put your money into a kiosk anywhere in the city and by entering your space number, renew your parking. That's the good news. The bad news is if your parking expires, the kiosk calls the cops!!!!!! It ells them right where the offending car is so they can quickly collect $37

Bonne Chance!

there are meters where you can only stay a max of 2 hours and there's a big parking lot that you could stay longer but for $$$$! if the shuttle bus brings you somewhere downtown, that will probably be your cheaper option. good luck!

Oh, and be careful. I speak French, maybe you do also. But all the little and varied rules about parking here and there during certain hours and days and times (and there are many such rules) are all in French. Hopefully you read French and can avoid any problems. Best to take the bus, really)
