You can add: Copies of both drivers licenses showing the same address (...)

People keep bringing this up, but I never quite understood: Both my wife's and my DL have some old addresses on them, from back when the licenses were issued and when we didn't live together yet. We have since both moved several times and are actually living together, but that is not reflected on the licenses. We can add the new address with a pen on the back of the DL's, but that's hardly evidence?

You are generally required to update your DL every time you get a new address so that it always reflects your current address - that is why it is considered good evidence. It sounds like you and your wife both need to update your Driver's Licenses since they are seriously out of date.

Hello everyone, I have heard from people that proving your marriage is bonafide is easier if both partners have a child born to both of them. How true is this? I am adjusting AOS from F1 and my wife and I have a beautiful two month old baby.

No. Having a child (with DNA testing to prove you are the parents) proves you had sexual intercourse without birth control. It is no more proof of a legitimate relationship than having a baby with someone and then splitting up and going your separate ways.

HOWEVER, if you have documentation showing you are BOTH participating in the child's life and BOTH acting as PARENTS, then yes, it is excellent evidence for the AOS.

This can include BOTH names on

School and medical records

child covered by same insurance policies as both parents

both parents listed as emergency contacts by third parties (daycare, doctors, schools, etc.)

Be sure all these people and any others list BOTH parents on all records and documents, Make copies of all records and documents. Best to have the NON-US citizen (for children you had together) or the step-parent (for children you did not have together) sign as much as possible, make copies of it before returning.

In Arizona you can update your address, but they don't necessarily issue you a new physical ID. I carried and used my old DL with my parents' address on it for 6 years after I'd moved out because I didn't like the new style. I only just got a new physical card because of the new name.

That's how I think it works in CA, too. You are required to register your new address with the DMV, but it seems they don't issue you a new physical card until your old one expires...

in pa they give you an additional paper card to carry with your license to reflect your new address and/or name change!
