Hello everyone, I have heard from people that proving your marriage is bonafide is easier if both partners have a child born to both of them. How true is this? I am adjusting AOS from F1 and my wife and I have a beautiful two month old baby.

USCIS considers babies as good evidence of a bonafide marriage :) . Be sure to include lots of other stuff, as well though. Congratulations on your baby.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

Thanks for your response. We do have some other evidences like pictures from our last trip, the bills where initially in my name but she in now on them. We have a joint account, health insurance, car insurance, family plan cellphones, and life insurance with each other as primary beneficiaries and joint tax return. What else can we add?

My Input: your baby is all there is to it. I am adjusting status too. And my baby is all the evidence I will focus on. Based on what you have mentioned besides the child, you are 100%.

PS: I am sure there are wiseguys here who would say, its not upto me to decide whats bonafide, but I know for a fact that those who are in it for the GC donot fool around with something as beautiful as ones own child. SO do the interviewers.

We had our interview yesterday, and the interviewer told us, if we had a baby (and we dont) then it would be a "SLAM DUNK" (yeah, his words!)

so i suppose it should be +1000 points if you have a baby!

That was my plan but I dont think my baby will be born before my interview date. Our AOS interview is scheduled on Apr. 20th and my due is in May >.< Now I just hope I won't have contractions on the interview date cuz of the pressure! Hopefully I can use my big belly as evidence lol

Just need to wait for him to come out now then I'll get the card!

I wouldnt worry about that. Evidence that you pregnant is as good as a baby. Congrats!

Pretty much a "slam dunk" as someone said.

I adopted my stepdaughter when she arrived here which also no doubt helped out. We had tons of other evidence also. Even had a 2 " thick trust.

Flew thru removing conditions also.

Ha ha - we took our fiesty (then) 21 month old to the interview in March. Yup a slam dunk indeed, I saw the guy stamp our approval at the very beginning of the interview! Good luck!

You can add: Copies of both drivers licenses showing the same address, and proof of your living arrangement: if you rent, is she in the rent contract. If you own, is she in the mortgage/ house title?. If not, provide some explanation as to what is your living arrangement. For example, in our case we own our house, but I'm not sure if I'll have enough credit history to add my name to the mortgage, but we'll try that in June and if we get approved great, if we get denied we'll provide proof that we tried and got denied and explain that is the reason I'm not in the mortgage yet.

But you are looking good on evidence

Good luck and congratulations on your baby :star:

Saludos,

Caro
