I had a very sweet woman at Minneapolis-St. Paul. BUT there was a guy next to me getting grilled about his work visa by a very cruel and mean officer. So, I say hit or miss?

frndly1 and dollface41601, thanks! That's what it seems like. I used to live in Atlanta for quite a while and I've never like Hartsfield though I like O'Hare when some complain.

cass thanks, too. I wonder if it was the work visa that caused the person to get grilled. A number of years ago, Canada gave us hell-o for coming across on a work visa.

Atlanta was just fine--I don't see what the bad rap is for. Atlanta is Great! if you have a connecting flight--as you are still within the airport terminals for domestic flights.

DFW and MIA were kind of pain in that once you cleared the POE- you were basically at the street and then had to re-enter the airport.

My advice is come in through Honolulu, have a wonderful week and then come to the mainland, no questions asked whatsoever.

JFK has always been lovely, even when our situation changed and we moved back to the UK we were able to come back through the POE with no hassle a few months later. They did ask him about the expired K-1, but that was it.

My wife came through Chicago O'Hare back in January and had a very smooth experience. She was out of customs in about 20 minutes.

had never any problems so far in atlanta... last time, with the running k1, only spent 2 min. at the desk. no many questions, short answers, all was fine.

Boston was great for me. the immigration network went down so they were already not happy yet they treated me with dignity and respect...

My husband came through JFK in Jan 06 and said it was pretty painless.

Came through newark for our (my fiancee's) initial entry- no problems whatsoever, and came through JFK on a travel document (advance parole) also no problems at all, and the immigration officer was very nice. It's just business as usual, but make sure you have all your paperwork in order.
