I just hope they don't turn it into 90210 Trek.

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

OMG! That is ADORABLE!

My husband isn't that big of a trekkie to allow me to do something like that. I tried to get some trek into our wedding and he wouldn't have any of it! BOO!

I am with ya, always looking for more Trek. What happened to Enterpise, the television series?

Lack of interest -

Fans couldn't take the mangling of the Star Trek time line (lore vs whatever the producers wanted to do).

Sad, I like the show, for the most part.

So far from what little previews I have seen, the film looks pretty epic.

True! I like the line "your father was a starship captain for 12 mins, and he saved 800 lives, including yours, I dare you to do better..." (paraphrase)

Ok, this is a question for the Trekkies - according the movie's official website - Spock was raised in an environment that downplayed emotions and put the highest importance on logic. In the original TV series, Capt. Kirk was always prodding or teasing Spock for supposedly having no emotions. So, it's not that Vulcans don't have emotions, it's just that they regard emotions as illogical, correct?

Correct. They live by logic and reason only.

In regards to enterprise, I was never a big fan of enterprise or DS9. I watched them but I never got into them as I did the others.

July 24,2007-NOA1 was received
April 21,2008-K-1 visa denied.
June 3,2008-waiver filed at US Consalate in Panama
The interview went well,they told him it will take another 6 months for them to adjudicate the waiver
March 3,2009-US Consulate claims they have no record of our December visit,nor Manuel's interview
March 27,2009-Manuel returned to the consulate for another interrogation(because they forgot about December's interview),and they were really rude !
April 3,2009-US Counsalate asks for more court documents that no longer exist !
June 1,2009-Manuel and I go back to the US consalate AGAIN to give them a letter from the court in Colon along with documents I already gave them last year.I was surprised to see they had two thick files for his case !


June 15,2010-They called Manuel in to take his fingerprints again,still no decision on his case!
June 22,2010-WAIVER APPROVED at 5:00pm
July 19,2010-VISA IN MANUELITO'S HAND at 3:15pm!
July 25,2010-Manuelito arrives at 9:35pm at Logan Intn'l Airport,Boston,MA
August 5,2010-FINALLY MARRIED!!!!!!!!!!!!
August 23,2010-Filed for AOS at the International Institute of RI $1400!
December 23,2010-Work authorization received.
January 12,2011-RFE

Nope, they have the full range of emotions. They just suppress them.

I am an original Trekker. Notice I don't say Trekkie. Trekkers are fans without the makup. :P I started watching Star Trek back in the 60's when it first came out. I have seen and I own every single episode from every series plus all the movies. I dare say I could take on anyone in a Trek trivia contest.
