Why I love my husband

In the last few days we have endured attacks from all sides... people saying we're taking advantage of our SOs, or that they're taking advantage of us. I want everyone to post why they love their significant other to remind themselves that other peoples' opinions fade in the face of what we feel for each other.

I love my husband because:

He talks in a stupid made-up language every time I call him just to make me laugh

He comes with me to family functions even though he doesn't understand what's going on half the time

He wanted to stay home today just to take care of me because I have a cold even though it's the world cup

He always knows how I feel about something, sometimes before even I do

He makes family a priority

If I need him he's always there for me

He spends time with my mom and dad because he knows it makes me happy, and he is constantly telling me how much he loves them and how lucky we are to have them.

Whenever I'm stressed, he sits me down and goes through the problem to see how we can fix it.

He takes care of my dog, even though he told me when we met he wasn't fond of dogs. Now she's like his baby.

Even if he just wants to sit down and watch tv and relax, he pays attention to me and makes me sit by him so he can snuggle with me and play with my hair.

He works 10 hours a day at a hard job making only a little money so he can feel like he's taking care of me, and then he apologizes to ME for making me get up earlier than normal so I can drop him off at work.

He left the job he loved in Paris, in a city he adored, where he had friends and family, to be with me in a place where he has nothing.

My husband is infinatly patient with me and all of my weird obsessions and personality quirks.

He left his home and his family to travel 5000 miles to live in the great frozen north with a slightly loopy american

He cooks and does dishes

He listens when I talk, no matter what it is about

He'll watch Law and Order or Angel with me with minimal complaints

He's not afraid to hold hands in public

He's just so all around sweet and adorable

I love Mohammed for reasons that really defy words, but to list the things that endear him to me so, I'll try.

I love his gentle ways with me.

Whenever we are talking, no matter what he has to say or what frame of mind he is in, when I say "I love you" he just stops mid sentence and in the most loving tone ALWAYS says "I love you too," and then continues his rant.

I adore the way he loves to talk and talk and talk.

He makes up funny little songs that make me laugh.

If he's written a new song he always hurries to share it with me and then we brainstorm on the lyrics.

If something happens in Egypt and he can't get internet or make a call from his city, he always without fail travels to the next to find internet so that I don't worry. He has even done this when he was sick with fever (and yes I chewed him out for not being in bed). I can count the days we have been unable to talk to each other in the last year on one hand. He is commited and loyal.

I love that he comes to me for comfort and advice or to share a deep discussion about just about anything under the sun.

This might be weird, but I also love the flash in his eyes when he gets angry. He has beautiful eyes.

He just TICKLES ME!

He is a creative genius in the kitchen and we adored cooking new dishes together.

And I love the way we are able to talk to eachother without words.

But most of all... he understands me to depths no other person ever has.

He is a very special human being.

He'll eat my crazy Asian foods just so I don't miss home so much.

He calls me 5+ times a day from work just to hear my voice.

When he comes home the first thing he does is cuddle me, and ask me how my day was!

wow not sure if words put it together but ill try

*He is always telling me i am his best friend

*I could cry for no reason (pms) and he still comforts me and pretends to knwo whats going on

*He is not afraid to cry, show me love, or be sensitive in front of other people

*He gives me the best massages even when he is so tired

*He got devastated when he lost his cell phone in jordan, not for the phone, but for the simple fact that i left little notes on it for him

*He is obsessed with country music

*He adores my family, and attends every family function which has been over 15 in 3 months, and never complains

*He hates Days of our Lives and Real world type shows, but never changes the channel on me because he knows i love them

*He brags about things i do, even if i dont do them well

*I can feel the way he loves me in his touch and see the way he loves me in his eyes

*He cannot wait to be a daddy, even though it scares us both to death

*He calls my granny, granny and my dad, dad, and i think its soooo cute

*And last but not least, Sofyan completes me and i complete him, he saved me from the miserable path i was on and im so grateful for that, when he hurts, i hurt, when he laughs i laugh, we fit together more perfect then most people could. I consider myself the luckiest women in the world, and im proud to stand next to him, and say he is mine. I am so grateful for him and the fact that I didnt need rough drafts to find the masterpiece, i found my soul mate at a young age, and thank god, we will have the longest, most blessed life together.

I'm all teary eyed now after reading these.... I can't even compose at this point what Said means to me and how special he is.... but I will... I have to leave work now.. but my heart is warm and I miss my darling Said.

He's not my husband yet, but I think of him that way...

He's willing to leave all that is familiar to him and move here to have a life together

He makes me laugh when I don't even feel like smiling

He 'gets IT' more than anyone I have ever known

He tells me I'm "The One" and that he hasn't had a life until now

He puts himself in my position all the time and understands me more than anyone has ever tried to

I love Mohammed for so many reasons.

The first thing we do when we wake, is say "I love you."

The last thing we do before sleeping is say "I love you."

After our 2 year journey to be together we don't take any days or nights for granted.
