Thanks for the link, amberdima.

i was actually surprised by some of the info on soy. working in a health club environment, i've been told about soy, but never researched it myself. therefore, i figured i would look for some backup before responding to another post blindly. similarly, one could probably find reputable evidence in favor of soy. i guess people just have to look at both and decide for themselves. p.s. the stuff about the babies freaked me out.

No man boobs yet?

By the way, diabetes is becoming epidemic in Asian countries, like the Philippines, same as the US.

As I recall from my college art anatomy teacher - men tend to pack on fat around the armpits and chest area as they get older. I've read studies that suggest that what you eat, effects where you body packs on the extra fat - a diet high in red meat tends to give men more upper body fat. It also helps to maintain some kind of muscle tone.

Here is some more information. (The "evidence" and "safety" section is very good at rating the reliability of the various claims.) Basically, we know it's been used as a food source in both the fermented and non-fermented forms for thousands of years; there still needs to be more research done on its relationship to estrogen-sensitive cancers.

Yep. The older you get, the more visceral fat accumulates within your core, for both men, and eventually, women.

I was referring to the estrogen as far as man boobs.
