advice for a friend concerning lagos

Hi all. A friend of mine who got interviewed after me at the Lagos consulate was approved for the visa and was asked to come pick it up today nd upon gettin there she was told her visa wasnt ready that it had to do with Washington that she should come on Thursday this week to pick it up. she is really worried dat there might be a problem but the lady who attended to her said there wasnt a problem that if there were the consulate would have called her. all i ask on her behalf is that is there really a problem. it a K-1 visa. Thanks nd am awaiting your replies.

She will have to wait till Thursday to see if there was a problem, or wait for a call from the embassy.

She may want to call them Wednesday if she hasn't heard anything to see if it will be ready Thursday.

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

If they told her to pick it up on Thursday, there is not a problem. Embassy difficult, but not intentionaly cruel. Everything will be fine.
