Overstayed in Hong Kong

Hi all,

My wife is a resident of mainland China, but she had overstayed in Hong Kong between 2005 to 2007. She has already gotten her police certificate from China. Does she need one from hong kong as well? Also, is that going to be a problem for her being not issued a visa?

I would get one for Just in Case. Did you report her time in Hong Kong on the I-130 or the G-325A forms? If so, you will need a PC from Hong Kong. ON her overstay, did she leave on her own, or was "escorted" out?

I don't think overstay will be a matter for US government. US is only concern about people overstaying in their country.

But yes you might need PCC if you have mentioned her staying in G-325a

I am not sure if this is another problem because we didn't put that in G-325A, but we are thinking to put on ds-230 since we don't want to keep any information away from the US. If I put on ds-230, will that be a problem? (are they going to ask us why didn't we put on g-325A as well?) also, I don't think she could go to hong kong anymore so it will be hard to her to get a police certificate.
