Call NVC @ 1800-375-5283 to ask when they sent it to Embassy. Then Call DOS @ 1202-663-1225, have NVC approval # number ready and ask for interview date.

Good luck!

lol, I don't know what you're on about but it is different in every country.. in the Netherlands the beneficiaries get their interview dates at home AFTER they filled in some documents (which he will also receive at home) and sent those back to the consulate.

The NVC part is the only thing he can do, see when it sent to the consulate in Amsterdam but that is about it, other than that it is just wait and see when package 3 arrives.

To the OP: Gefeliciteerd!! See here for a bit more information about the consulate in Amsterdam and the stuff you need to gather: http://www.visajourney.com/consulates/inde...p;cty=Amsterdam

Exactly, it is much too early to start calling for interview dates. Plus NVC doesn't even issue the interview date. The consulate or embassy in that will handle your case just like JeroenAndMichelle said. It will be a US Embassy or Consulate in the Netherlands. You can find out by looking around on the USCIS website which Embassy or Consulate will handle it, then go to their website and it will tell you how the process goes from here. I can give you a hint, when you get a letter from NVC in about a week or two with your NEW case number on it, pay attention to the first three letters. Then if you go to the USCIS site, you can find out where all of the Consulates are in the Netherlands. If you find one starting with those three letters, BINGO, that is where your case is going to go. They may even tell you in the NVC letter, I can't recall. But you cannot just call and make an appointment. hahaha. There are forms that need to be filled out and they will send them to you SO in the Netherlands. The first packet of forms where I filed was called packet 3. Don't ask me why. Basically, these forms give them the barest of information PLUS some indication of the costs. When you fill out these forms and send them back, the main form is the one that is more or less a checklist. "Do you have all of these documents and forms to bring to the interview?" This way they don't schedule interviews until you have all of your paperwork. It is a reasonable amount of paperwork. Remember, you will need to prove that you still are a true romantic couple so start saving that stuff. If I had been thinking we would have sent one of those cute little "I Love You!" cards to each other weekly. When you find out where your interview will be, go to that consulates website and comb it thouroughly. There should be a nice checklist of everything you need to take to the interview. IF you download the forms now, and fill them out, and get the other stuff, especially things like notarized police reports that can take a while, you will be way ahead of the game when they send you the packet. You just put in your finished forms and the turnaround time is a day or two. I learned this from a very smart friend on here. Then when those papers generate your appointment and medical dates, you will be totally ready. No last minute finding forms or getting signatures. All we need at this point is a packet 3. We can send that info back in a day, then we will get the appointment date for about a month out which is when all we will have to do is keep checking all the forms and items they want that we already did.

When I look at that it seems like the USCIS really wants to work hard for these visas

Thanks for all the congrats, and warmth.

All the advice was very helpful.

Though im still overwhelmed with the speed, and after just catching my breath from the petition paperwork,

renewed paperwork is gonna take some mental preparation.

But hopefully ill have my head together before the end of the week, to start pre-requesting certain forms.

the 'new evidence' made me a little worried too.

Since i just left February 16th, after being there for half a year, we cant see each other anytime soon.

I could have her send me emails and letters perhaps ?

and what about skype call history ?

any other advice ?

should she send me a package with something fun, to have those receipts?

all ideas are welcomed.

thanks again everyone ...
