Hi,

I've passed the interview more than 3 months ago with Atlanta Field office and given the "Recommended for Approval..." note and still haven't received Oath Letter yet. Writing to them asking about case status 3 times and was given the note "we will notify you by mail when further action is taken on your case..." each time.

I went to the office with InfoPass appt last week but was told the same thing: "we will notify you by mail, etc..."...Very frustrated!

What could I do? What options do I have to speed up my case?

Please advise. Thanks.

Can take them to court after 120 days if you don't hear anything.

I honestly do not know what took place when my wife had her interview, just knew her IO wasn't very nice as she wouldn't even look at me, and she demanded original documents from her my wife refused to give, these were very expensive and difficult documents to replace. Also my wife spoke far superior English than her IO, keeps her body up whereas her IO, well let's say, a guy would need a truck to haul her around. Just speculation on my part. But she was promised her oath letter within two weeks, denying to let her say her oath that same day. I let four weeks go by when I contacted my senator and got her oath letter within two hours with an apology from the field office manager. It was e-mailed to me. Was a battle to the final moments.

Update: Forgot to mention I had my first name changed on the N-400, passed the Interview, and given the "recommended for approval..." note...

Could I write to my senator and asking for help? how did you do it?

Thanks.

Get on google and type, "contact your senator" and follow the instructions, prefer calling, but still have to wait until his office sends you a release to sign. Wife already signed that release for the I-751 and they had a file on her, so that went quick for us.
