Yup, the consulate has the right to ask for current tax returns at the time of the interview. So better to bring the recent tax documents even if your interview is before the April 15th deadline.

Hello lovely familia,

Busy day at work today!

Both our bills reflect as paid as well. Let's hope it stays that way lol

I am now officialy part of the people waiting for case completion as both our AOS/IV packet was received by NVC this morning...Now waiting for it to be scanned into the sytem and for case review to begin. Hoping for a smooth ride with no bumpy RFEs!!

I am loving this one step closer thing!! YAYYYY :dance: Hopefully not that much longer! Been too long!!

When I emailed my consulate to ask how to file my taxes, they told me filing single won't be a problem since hubby is not a green card holder yet, but did emphatically make it clear that he better have a copy of my '08 taxes come interview day.

So I will be Fedexing him a copy of my entire tax return as soon as I get around to it.

Im just sitting back now and watching the tennis tournament... The ball is in my husbands court. I think it will take a long time for him to hit it back to me...... :whistle:

03/05/09: K3 and I 130 both approved! FINALLY after 230 emotionally trying days @ VSC!!

03/06/2009 : NVC Received; 03/09/09 Case Number Assigned; 03/10/09 K3 stuck in AP

03/17/2009 : AOS/IV fee bills generated (by email @ 10:00 p.m.); 03/18/2009 : AOS/IV fee bills paid online

03/27/2009 : AOS/DS 230 package sent to NVC; 04/02/2009 : AOS & DS-230 entered into NVC system

04/14/2009 : Found out K3 was forwarded to the consulate in Leb and CR1 stuck in AP; 04/18/09: K3 delivered

04/20/09: WOOHOO CR1 already out of AP; DS 230/AOS accepted with no RFEs!! Sign in failed on NVC payment site.

04/21/09: MAGIC CASE COMPLETE @ 4:30 P.M. THANK U GOD!!!

04/27/09: Hubby passed his medical; CR1 interview assigned for June 17th By NVC; but changed to MAY 12th after emailing embassy on 05/05/09 )

Yup, have your taxes ready, not having them ready at this point in the game is just bad news. I filed as single as well, and have a letter from my accountant stating the reason why. just in case :)

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive,and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Update: Upon calling NVC a little while ago, operator confirmed they received my docs and our review has begun. Now hoping for a super quick case complete!! :star::star::star::star:

Someone interviewed today that Y knows.. 5 questions and "you will have your visa in 2 weeks" yaay I hope ours is that easy :D
