Is it true that IR1-CR1 is quite faster than K3?any ideas pls...thanks,,,

CR and IRs are a LOT faster than in the past but the K3 is still a bit faster. !-130 has to go thru NVC processing and if you don't do a good job submitting the documents when required the I-130 can take awhile to clear and get forwarded to the embassy. K3 flies thru NVC on it's way to the embassy. CRs and IRs are WAY better visas tho and worth waiting a little while for.

K1 denied, K3/K4, CR-1/CR-2, AOS, ROC, Adoption, US citizenship and dual citizenship

!! ALL PAU!

Till now it is....if u follow the shortcuts, and most importantly if u constantly keep in touch with NVC u can finish the process earlier than K3...U can have a look at my profile to get some idea...

Good Luck

Sonia

and you can save"a ton" of money too (sounds like the gieco commercial).... with skipping the AOS fees

Our K3 is already at the Embassy in Bogota, but we have decided to follow the CR1 track. It may take us a month or so longer, but we will save about $600 and Ivonne (who already has a US SSN) will be able to work as soon as she arrives. The K3 is still faster, but not necessarily better.

net net you save about 1 month if both I-130 and I-129F are approved at the same time. However, you need to factor in the fact that USCIS 'may' take longer to adjudicate your case if you have filed both I-130 and I-129F (as it was the case with me and others here are VJ). People who filed I-130 in March 2008 with me and didn't file I-129F got approved 3-4 months faster than me...

In the longer, you wanna stick with CR1 anyway because it avoids the whole AOS and applying for EAD and SSN process. It's also a few hundred dollars cheaper if that matters at all to ya.
