Thank you all!

Congratulations to you too, Cigarovich!!

I´ll post my interview experience tomorrow. I hope it helps more people!

:)

Congratulations to all who have recently received good news. I posted my review on the interview in the consulate section, but It is not there. Anyway I'm on my way to pick up my sweetie next week. Plane tickets ended up around 2200 roundtrip for the both of us. Maybe someone could try and locate my interview review in the review section.

Just wanted to know that my fiance is here in the states. I wish luck to the few that are still waiting. I'm one of the original IMBRA recalls. Thanks to this site for the help. I will be on for more help on the status adjustments.

I'm not sure how many of us are still checking in, looking in the IMBRA section of VJ, but I wanted to say hello to you all. I hope everyone's petitions are moving forward and approaching the next step. Ours has and we are approaching our wedding on Wednesday. I know some of you are still waiting anxiously for your embassy interviews and I hope you are all still on your journey cuz let me tell you....

IT IS INCREDIBLE when you look into your loved one's eyes and know what you have been through has brought you closer together and the bond is stronger then ever. And the love.....

Peace and hearts!

I hope you are all well.

Thanks americanwoman. Any last minute advice for the Paris embassy? I am leaving on Monday to attend the interview. My fiance is very stressed about it. I told him to relax. I think it will be better after it is over and we can enjoy his last days in Paris. :)

Could you also tell me about your fiance's flight? How and when did you book it? Do you know of cheap one-ways or did you buy a aller-retour? I know that you went through JFK. My return flight is scheduled for the next week and I hope that my fiance can be on it with me.

Thanks americanwoman. Any last minute advice for the Paris embassy? I am leaving on Monday to attend the interview. My fiance is very stressed about it. I told him to relax. I think it will be better after it is over and we can enjoy his last days in Paris. :)

Wow! You'll be there! That is great. I was there for my fiancés too which I think helped becuase they didn't go to crazy over evidence BUT still bring as much as you can.

Tell your fiancé to relax! Everyone at the embassy was friendly and nice. Our total time from waiting in line outside to leaving was less than an hour and a half. The interview takes place right in the waiting room, not a private room/office as I thought. There is a big waiting area with "bank teller" windows that you are called up to.

....Ah! Hold on - he's telling me something...

Ok, when the first person called him up (the check your stuff person) and asked for his papers, including evidence, he immediately told her I was there. He had everything in order and when she asked to see it all, out came the folders - all the required documents and tons of evidence. She was impressed with the amount he had and the organization. As a result she didn't go through all of it - only asked for the required documents. We had all original documents (NOA2, birth certs, my divorce decree, etc.) AND copies which she appreciated, saving her time to make them, and only had to see the original and stamp the copy as an official copy. She then passes the case on to the interviewer, who then calls you to a window. The interviewer asked him less than ten questions: what is my profession, if we live together, and about his J-1 work visa, etc. Never asked to see evidence. And never asked to see me!

So we believe that being organized and thorough and me being there made it easy and painless.

As long as you have everything in order, he should be fine.

And for the flight - we booked it right after approval for 11 days later. Booking within the 7 day period can be more expensive. And it is cheaper to purchase a round trip which is a bummer cuz we're not using it. Unfortunately we weren't on the same flight, not even the same airport (he- JFK, me - Newark)! But we were able to land within 2 hours of each other so it was just a matter of me getting to JFK. The whole purpose of that was the EAD stamp at JFK.

My husband says "Bonne chance, et bienvenue aux Etats Unis."

And I say "Don't worry! Relax, enjoy Paris! Have a wonderful wedding. And this ain't nothin' - just wait 'til AOS!"

Cheers!
