Nope, NADA from CSC. Polly at NVC said I should be getting a letter from NVC soon. Weird, isn't it! I recall some of Yodrak's posts saying he had a similar situation - no updates, no emails, no NOAs from USCIS, but he is married now, so somehow he made it through the process! At this point, I'll take what I can get. I am a little nervous if the embassy should ask my fiance for a copy of the second NOA2, which I have not received. :star:

Well, if you're worried, you can ask them for one: http://www.uscis.gov/graphics/howdoi/dupapp.htm

I only offer advice - not even legal. Just the plain and simple kind.

I just called NVC and they sya our case was sent to Paris on the 22nd (yesterday) as well.

BUT I just checked the DHL website and nothing was sent to France yesterday. The website info was updated this morning, 8:30.

So what am I to think?

That NVC doesn't tell us the right date. I think they send stuff in batches. Don't sweat on it. They'll send the petition. They said mine was sent on August 7th but I think it was only actually mailed out on the 10th.

CRRRAAAAAPPPPPP!!!!! That's what I think!!!!! Maybe in NVCspeak, we sent your case off to Paris today means, "we started thinking about getting your file into an envelope and the next few days it will likely make its way down to the mailroom, etc......: Who knows? Il y a beaucoup de merde!!!!

I think we're on French vacation time. How is it the post office manages to work so well (jokes aside, it works surprisingly well) and this beurocracy is stumped by a piece of paper that adds nothing to the petition (for most of us without MB or criminal convictions, it's not like they didn't ask how we met in the original application), does nothing to keep any sort of order, and basically sitting on their hands.

Darn it, I wonder if because I was one of the last few (5 weeks after most others) who got the RFE, that means processing time too and I wont see an approval for 3-6 more weeks.

I hope I am speaking too so and they get it approved this week, today, now. I am so exhauseted by all this I want to get back on track.

Meh, nothing to see here.

DHL info from rlt.........

"The thing with NVC and DHL is that NVC mails the petition, but it is not picked up by DHL at the same day.

That´s why the dates don´t match.

It´s normal to wait for 2 - 4 days to see your petition beying picked up.

That´s the first update you´ll see online."

so maybe we're ok, sleepless.

somewhere someone posted CIS is to have all recalls done by the end of august. but in that breath of info i say "don't hold your breath." let's hope they are correct.

fingers crossed for you.

Sigh... talked to Montreal today and they *still* don't have our case back yet.

what??? that is ridiculous! did NVC send a package there yet? could it be that montreal is at fault?

Since the 7th, there have been 2 packages received at Montreal. The first one was mailed on the 14th and signed for on the 15th. The second was mailed on the 21st and signed for yesterday. So it could be Montreal's fault, or it might not have gone out in the first package and only just got there yesterday. Or who knows what happened to it...?
