dkm1432: i agree with you.

i didn´t know VJ before IMBRA.. I was lucky to find it.

The way they are processing the recalled cases is not fair.

It was their mistake. They should be doing a lot more to approve our cases sooner.

But the truth is, they won´t. They are working on it, and eventually we´ll get our cases approved again.

Have you called Vermont yet?

Their staff can give you information on your case.

sleepless in OR: Please keep us informed. I bet your RFE is indeed IMBRA related. Until your RFE update you got the same messages as the rest of us.

I hope I get one too.

Hopefully tomorrow!

As it turned out, my fiance wasn't able to call Vermont yesterday. But whenever he calls them, I'll tell you what he finds out.

In other news, I got my first update today!

On June 27, 2006, we received this case back from the Department of State for further review. We will mail you a notice when our review is complete or when we take other action.

I know, it's a silly one, but I'm happy.

I only offer advice - not even legal. Just the plain and simple kind.

Hang in there! Believe it or not, I just got another online update this morning. It restates what I was told yesterday, ssying that the RFE was mailed out from CSC yesterday. Maybe the response on the recalls is related to the NOA1 receipt date, I don't know, just guessing. Mine was March 6. So if yours is shortly after that, hopefully you will be hearing something soon. It could be as you speculated that there are way more recalls at VSC for them to deal with, so that could be part of the problem as well. I'll keep you posted on the details of the RFE as soon as it arrives. B) Sleepless and roasting in OR - can you believe it was 105 in the shade here yesterday - somebody forgot this is the Pacific NW for crying out loud!!!

Hello All,

I guess I just need to vent. My NOA1 date was March 8th and our petition was sent back to the US from London almost 6 weeks ago. I spoke with someone in Vermont who confirmed that it was there nearly two weeks ago and yet I've had absolutely no updates online.

This is so depressing. I am just so frustrated and stressed out by the whole process. Add to that the fact that we are having our "wedding"* in three and half weeks and the stress is high. That said, the fact that my finance has to return to the UK after the "wedding" is definitely putting a damper on my excitement. *sigh* Sorry to ramble and whine but it's just not fair - WAH! *pouts*

Actually, he's not here yet - he's arriving a week before the "wedding" and leaving a week after. I'm very excited to see him and grateful for the whole thing but it's still just frustrating.

I'm sorry you're apart now - I know how awful it is.

I hope you´re right.

I honestly don´t get what else they need to do before sending out our RFEs since they reopened our cases..

But "within the next several dates" is a new expression to me.

Does it sound good?

Did she say anything else? Any information is the only thing we have to use as a hope..

Yesterday I got the update saying they had my case back in Vermont and today another one saying they've reopened the case. I don't know how long they'll take to actually send the RFE we all want to get, but I can only be optimistic that they've started reopening cases. I'll try and find more about it later this week.

I only offer advice - not even legal. Just the plain and simple kind.

Lots of us getting our cases reopened.

Maybe they´ll be doing it like crazy this week and sending the RFEs to everyone really soon.

Maybe even this week.

After I got that update I called VSC and they said we are now waiting for the RFE update, so that´s the next step.

However they didn´t say when that would be done.

If you could give them a call and ask when you should expect to get it would be good... you never know when a nice officer will be willing to help you out!

Good luck!!!

Can someone help me, please!

I am new to this site. My fiancé and I are in that same waiting period as many here seem to be in. Our case was recalled just as she had gathered all her paperwork for the interview in Lima, Peru. It has been almost two months since she received that packet.

What does "touched" mean?

How do some of you get emails from CIS or wherever?

Is there anything I can be doing besides "waiting?"

Scott

Do you have the phone number for Vermont?

I got both emails on Friday a few hours apart, and then they touched me on Saturday. It sure felt good, but then they left me hangin with no new updates. When I called she told me about the two updates, and said that they will be sending out a request of evidence to me within the next several days. I also asked her if she could check my request for expedite status, and she couldn't since it is a different department. She said they receive so much mail every day that it may take them a few days to get to it.

What I don't understand is the fast they had my case in their hands and was active, how much time would it take them to print out the RFE and throw it into a envelope?

That is my question too.

They know we were recalled because of the RFE. They did put our files together and reopened it.

WHY ARE THEY WAITING??

People with applications on hold got the RFE, so the system is working...

Why are we waiting more than everyone else is?

My case was reopened on the 22nd and since then it hasn´t been touched.

Is it possible that they are gonna reopen all 1100 cases and just then they will send it?

I fear that since they still don´t have all cases back.

It just doesn´t make sense to me that we don´t get our RFE.
