2) how did you receive notice of the interview date? - - from the consulate?

Thanks

I have no idea how it all happened actually. We received the interview date a few days before the actual reapproval. Maybe the consulate has everything needed for the interview. I really don't know, and my fiancee called the consulate to confirm the interview, and the girl said, yes you have an interview on August 14. I hope this is just the beginning for all of us.

FANTASTIQUE, LEWIS!!!!!:dance::dance: I'd have a margarita in your honor, but they frown out that sort of thing at work.

Great news to see another recall get reaffirmed!! What a bunch of BS they have put us through, eh? I'm a little worried CSC doesn't know what to do with recalls so they have put mine on indefinite hold til they figure it out. VSC seems to be moving right along now.

Sleepless, I'm pulling for you more than anyone at this point. There's no logic behind any of it so far. One of the first recalled and approved VJer cases was from CSC. And now we see an interview being scheduled for Mike, which is very good news.

As for the 8 day theory, it looked good at first but now it appears not to hold water. I was losing it, really, I still am. I know these cases will go through eventually, it's such a b352h dealing with it but it is worth it.

I have a good feeling about August, I think the recall situation will be amended and interviews will start being scheduled. May your case be approved soon!

I'm not religious, but I've lit candles (okay, virtual candles) for all of us.

Also, Lewis, was your message the same you got as NOA2 or does it say "reaffirmed"? I know this shouldn't be of any importance, but I'm curious.

I only offer advice - not even legal. Just the plain and simple kind.

Thanks Mew, we lit one just the other night! Worked for us! (F)

And here's what it said Mew:

This case has been approved. On August 7, 2006, an approval notice was

mailed. If 30 days have passed and you have not received this notice,

you may wish to verify or update your address. To update your address,

please speak to an Immigration Information Officer during business

hours.

Nothing about where it was being sent to.

Huh. Aren't they weird? 3 different messages for recalled petitions with RFEs approved...

Weird? yes, and many other things. I think all of our petitions will be approved eventually but the USCIS has so many problems with compatible systems and inefficiency right now. Aussie was right on the mark, the paper based system can really cause a big mess and slowdown.

They can be as weird as they want to at this point. They can put it into a poem, sonnet, haiku, sanskrit, chisel it out on a stone tablet, or write it backwards so I have to hold it up to a mirror to read it. Just give me the freakin thing, PLEASE!!!!

And thanks for the sympathy, Lewis. Maybe I will go try to light a candle. I wrote a prayer on that thread, but didn't actully do the candle thing. Heck, I'd light a thousand candles in my yard and windows tonight if I thought it would work. Maybe I will!!!
