My case was re-open on June 27 and never "touched" again (while I was sending letters and e-mails to everyone I could think about). Today, 37 days later, my case was re-open again?!?! I checked its status on-line. I have not received any e-mails from the VSC, though. Can anyone explain this? I am puzzled...

Dear piper, you got touched!!! Doesn't it feel good? Whenever the date changes on the main page after loging into the USCIS site but the status doesn't change, that's a touch. I think that's what happened. If so, congrats!

They are probably about to send your RFE...

That's great news. My case has been collecting dust for a week also, and it appears this has been the case for most of recall folks. I hope this means they are finally going to start approving some more of us.

I was touched today too! YAY! I really hope they start approving these soon.

Since our case was already approved once and the IMBRA does not apply to us, it should just be a matter of looking at the new form and stamping the darn thing. Right?

:yes: Congrats!! I'm so happy to see VSC is back at work!

I guess this negates the theory that they are going in alphabetical order by country since you were a UK petition...

hi all and congrats to anyone who has movement on their case!

question, for those of you who have been approved, do you know where your case is? sent to the consulate yet?

mew - it's been 9 days since your approval. any idea where it is? (my noa2 to nvc notice took only 8 days)

rene has been 2 weeks longer and is still at CSC (i assume from their last post i read)

everyone else (all 2!) might be to soon to expect it to be sent.

my concern here is since it appears CIS is sending direct to consulate for the reapproved recalls, are they going to wait for all the recalls from each country to be approved and then send out in one batch? at this point i would not be surprised if this is the case.

mew, can we add a column to the chart with "rec'd at consulate"?

happy friday everyone. may we all hope VSC is working this weekend :crying::yes::no::wacko:

I spoke to the Montreal consulate yesterday and they haven't received mine back (I was approved the same day as Mew). They did say that it shouldn't take too much longer to get back to them, although I got the impression that they were just guessing and didn't actually have information on how the process would work.

another question - has anyone asked NVC if they are or aren't receiving & sending the reapproved recalls?

Yes, we have: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=24798

According to some of the answers, they're sending the petitions directly from the service centers.
