Before you make a lot of assumptions about incorrect order of processing, let me just remind of the obvious reason for slow moving. This was told me by the VSC rep when I called last (2 weeks ago) - Lots of people are on VACATION so they're shorthanded. It's August, our congress completed their hard year's work so they're on a long vacation no reason our beaurocracy can't take time off.

Hi WheresTheVisa,

I am curious....where's your timeline? And why such a close to the source post? I was also told people were on vacation and I specifically asked if that would slow things up and the lady said "No." And why do I feel like you used a ruler on my knuckles while reminding me of the (not so) obvious? And why does your post sound like you are defending CIS?

Who do you work for?

(visual: dusty, faded, shaded light swinging back and forth over a silouetted WheresTheVisa, head hanging low, in a dark, dingy, green-walled room with no windows)

(audio: eee....ooo....eee....ooo....eee.......smack!

[WheresTheVisa's head roles backward into full light exposing bloodied eyes]

"Now I'll ask you again, who do you work for?!")

We keep seeing CSC continue to roll out the approvals. Why 'o' why is vermont sitting still? After we got our RFE and returned it, I was actually beginning to think that our petition could get back to the embassy before the end of August and hopefully get my fiancee an interview in September. Although it's only August 2, somehow, I am beginning to doubt that will happen. Why would they not want to just approve us again after our RFE is back!?

I really wish I could just walk into VSC, pick up my file, shove it in front of an employee and use force (if necessary) to make them "press, or whatever they do" approve! Then that would be just one more they would be done with.

Oh well, back to waiting inpatiently

Another disappointing day for me. I think we should be careful though, maybe some users might be working for VSC. I sure hope it doesnt take 2 months for my case to get to VSC from NVC. Just like it took 2 months to get to NVC from overseas. OH well back to waiting.

For the recalled, we do have cases "reaffirmed" from both CSC and VSC. And all of them so far as we know still have not been sent to the consulate. We still have no clear verfiable info on where they go after they are "reaffirmed". I don't think it has anything to do with spreading resources at this point, I think it is just pure confusion among all the entities involved about how to handle the recalled cases even now. The "memo" posted yesterday offered no new info on recalled cases. The leadership on explaining the process has been atrocious and non existent on the USCIS part. We are left to do the work for ourselves by analyzing bits of information that may or may not be significant. In my lifetime, I have never witnessed such incompetence and lack of transparency in our governement.

Let's hope VSC and reaffirmed cases will have some good news this week.

Yes, I also think VSC was helping CSC out, so they could get rid of the HUGE backlog (or part of it). I remember reading about it in some threads too.
