Well I've checked the chart, and it seems that the MIA petitions are out of either the Phillipines (100%) or Thailand (100%) or Russia (50%) or the UK (50%). Have any of the folks with MIA files gotten ANY kind of concrete answers or are we all equally and completely in the dark?

So far I have not heard anything from my case. I just faxed over a request to my Congressman today.

My fiance is in Thailand. BTW, I got another email from nvcinquiry@state.gov saying that they have not received my case, however Thailand said they mailed it to USCIS directly.

I'm one of the fortunate Russia people to get an RFE. I'm guessing our petition never actually made it to the Embassy which is why I got my RFE. Our case was approved on April 25 and I received a letter from the NVC on May 5 that they were forwarding it out to Moscow, but then a week later the USCIS started the recall.

WHOA!!! Rene, I see where just you posted an update on the chart saying RFE was

APPROVED July 13!!!!! This was not just on online status saying RFE was received and due to earlier processing wouldn't supposedly take as long, etc? This is BIG NEWS if you received an update saying it was approved - makes you the first recall to get the RFE approval!!!! Am I interpreting this correctly? if so. please fill us in on the details, what did the approval say? I see your NOA1 date is March 8, two days after my March 6, and you are at CSC (me too, but started at NSC), country is Argentina. Could they be going by country in alphabetical order? Who knows, eh ? Please, somebody, give us some information so I can get a little sleep one of these nights...

Anyways, this is great news, Rene!

cigarovich:

I emailed them at the embassy and then they emailed me back saying it was sent back to uscis on 5/22/2006. I emailed them again last night and they said the process starts by sending the petition back to Washington Dc and it gets sorted there, then it goes to NVC and then gets forwarded back to the service center where it was previously approved (Vermont Center). Unfortunately last week, I also got an email from the NVC (nvcinquiry@state.gov) saying that they have no record of ever receiving my petition back. So I wonder if it is still in DC being sorted or is lost.

SEE Rick2000 posts above for what I have been told. Addly, my fiancee in the Philippines told me last night she just received a letter from the Mainila Embassy dated July 10 indicating her approved Petition was returned to the St.Albans USCIS for IMBRA req additional information. Again, before VSC can re-open a case and send out the RFE IMBRA Supp they say they must have 2 things: the returned Petition from the Consular and th File Jacket (this contains info placed in the file as the Adjuc Officers processes the case). Apparently, these file jackets are stored elsewhere.

I guess the file jackets for Philippines and Thailand are stored at a secured location either miles and miles below the ocean shore or somewhere that be reached on foot only. I'm sorry I have to keep myself amused otherwise I'm going to go insane.

Hi.

My fiancée received the RFE on July13th and mailed it back to Vermont on the same day.

It says on the Fedex website that it was delivered in WILLISTON, VT by the next day - July14th, morning time.

We still haven´t got an update saying they received the RFE.

I´d like to know from you guys if anything sounds strange or if I should worry about it.

Is WILLISTON, VT the right place??!?

I´m worrying about everything now. How long should we wait before calling Vermont?

Please share your stories here.

Thanks!

I don't want to make you worry, but my fiance USPS-tracked the RFE and it said it was delivered in St. Albans, Vermont. As you know, we got the update saying they had received it and we have our case been touched every day since then.

Here: "Your item was delivered at 2:34 pm on July 10, 2006 in SAINT ALBANS, VT 05479."

I got the exact same thing. I checked the "Signature Proof" button on the FedEx website and it said the Recipient was in St. Albans, VT. So I called FedEx and was told that they were told to deliver it to their FedEx location in Williston, VT and someone would pick it up later. According to FedEx, it was later picked up by a "G. Merihew". I plan on calling VSC tomorrow to run this by them and make sure everything is alright.

I also used FEDEX and have Williston, VT which I believe is the correct location. On the site it said the address was a "revised address". The package was also signed by the same person that signed for my expedite request, G. Merrihew. It just a matter of waiting for the RFE email notification.
