Hello,

We haven't gotten the interview packet from the Juarez Consulate which they supposedly sent to both my fiance (in Mexico) and I (in the USA) on Feb. 17, 2009. They were able to tell us by phone this date that they sent it and said that it would be fine to download the paperwork from the website and then go to Juarez and have the information window print off our appointment letter. I read that someone has done this and has had success, but I'm still nervous about it. Does anyone know what the issue is with the packets not arriving?

Also, I read that they opened up a new consulate in Juarez. Is this where my fiance will have to go for the interview process? Have the locations for the medical exams changed as well or are they the same?

Thanks!

Hello,

We'll go to Juarez this coming Friday for the medical on Monday and interview on Tuesday. I called the consulate and they said our papers were sent, but of course we haven't got them yet. So, reading the instructions online, it says we'll need the invitation letter to attend the medical interview. Should we go to the consulate in the morning before the medical and request the invitation? If so, do we wait with the other interview people at the consulate or is there another line?

Thanks,

Marty

Ok, so you need to have your invitation letter printed out! Not a problem.

When go to the consulate, and there is a big line, first try going to the front of the line, and ask one of the guards which line is it to get your invitation letter printed out as you never got it. If they are cool(nice) about the situation, they might just let you in and direct you to the information line. If, no then just get in line with everyone else and then they will tell you which line is the information line.

If you arrive before the consulate closes on Friday, then just get the letter on Friday, that way you have less stress on Monday. But if you get it on Monday, make sure you go early so you are not late for the medical exam.
