Question #25 of Affidavit of Support I-864: Relevance/importance of '06 and '07 taxes exceeding the Poverty line?

I have been researching a topic and I do not feel confident in my finding so I want to ask someone on VJ. Last year I brought my wife to the USA on a K-3 visa. Anyways, we are going to be married for 2 years this May and we are currently applying to adjust her status. While I was filling out the paperwork on the I-864 Affidavit of support, question #25 requests for the sponsors most recents years income with a tax transcript as well as write in my past 3 years of tax information. My question is if it is VITAL that i exceed the financial requirement for each of the 3 years they are requesting me to write in my income or just the most recent one (which they request for a copy of your tax transcript)? Do they even look at the 2 previous years at all? For instance, in 2007 and 2008 I exceed the requirement, however in 2006 i do not. Eventhough they do not request for the 2006 and 2007 tax transcripts, is it still vital that I exceed the requirement for the 3 consecutive year or is it irrelevent. OR should I use my parents as a sponsor again to avoid any potential problem?? (during my k-3 visa process, we used my parents as her sponcer due to me being a recent college graduate, however i do not want to do this again because it is difficult for them to fill out this paperwork and provide documentation as well as understand this visa process). Current income and the likelihood that it will continue is what they will consider. You should be ok on your own.

When I did AOS, hubby was above poverty line only for the most current year. It was never brought up at the interview.

Do you need to draw up a new Affidavit of support for the AOS process? We hope to submit this in late April 09. We already submitted one as part of the K1 application process in January 09.
