I like Newt. Not because I necessarily agree with him on a lot but because he strikes me as much more intelligent and thoughtful than anyone else on that list.

I would agree with that. I also like Mitt Romney when he is being pragmatic about social issues.

I also like Thad McCotter and Eric Cantor, though I reserve the right to change my mind if they start drinking the kool aid.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

I completely forgot about Palin and Jindal when I made the poll. I like Karl Rove but he isn't really a Republican leader, more of a Republican political commentator. I'm not so into politics that I know all the big names out there and I only had 12 options to work with (although I only used 11)....
