I posted this threat to US Embassy and Consulate General Discussion yesterday, I was suggested to post it here to get more result. I am wondering if someone knows about this. We are very worried. Please if anyone knows let us know. Thank you.

Hello all,

crying.gif

My fiance attended the interview on the 25. He didn't have the police certificate with him (ACPO) at the time of the interview, we received it today. This is what the guy at the interview told him:

When you receive the police certificate call the corrieri of the embassy so he can come and collect it and send it in with your passport, he also said that: "When I receive your passport and ACPO I will deal with your visa".

Does this mean we are good? And that he still has a chance to get the visa? The corrier is coming on Tuesday to collect both passport and ACPO.

Please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!! we are freaking out helpsmilie.gif

Don't panic! Just follow the instructions you were given for contacting the courier and the visa will be sent out to you. I was missing a document too and had to go through this.

(providing the info on the police cert is ok with the embassy of course).

Hopefully if your police record came back with no trace on it then you wont have a problem

If all goes to plan expect your visa in around a week

Just to let you know that the courier service is not always a next day service they can take longer if you are outside of London

Hope you have good news soon

We did receive the police certificate with NO TRACE. Called the courier they said will come on Tuesday. We live in London.

This means GOOD NEWS?

No probs then and if that is only query raised at the interview your visa should be with you week after next

Dont forget to check all details on the visa, they got my passport number wrong on my visa and I had to go back the Embassy to get it sorted which was additional hassle and cost

worrying isnt going to help you too much.

you dont have a timeline, right? so its hard to understand the situation in terms of dates and timing.

i think if you only sent it tuesday, they received thursday, and today is wednesday, they are still processing.

if you have questions, call the embassy on the expenso-phone. see if they can give you any updates.

Call DOS and they will be able to tell you if/when the visa was printed. If it's been printed, then call SMS and inquire if they have it.

How long did you wait for your police check? I have waited almost 4 weeks and all they could tell me when I called them was that it was being processed. I dont think the NVC would complete case without it, its so annoying that is the only doc I need for the package to NVC.

we had a similar situation to you, I went to my interview with the old style police report and got the blue slip for the ACPO to be sent in, once it came the courier came and got it later that day and delivered it the next morning I believe (I'm thinking around the 8/9th of june last year), the next day I got the text message from SMS and it arrived the day after. Anyway my visa issue date was the 10th so as long as they're happy with the ACPO and there's not too much going on at the embassy they *should* get back to you with a decision/ your passport w/visa and that lovely heavy manila envelope ;)
