Hi I have a quick question. My husband and I are planning on taking a trip to England in May. My passport is still in my maiden name. What name do I get my ticket under? My maiden or married name? The maiden name will match my passport, the married name will match my green card. I know that I need to take my marriage license to show the name change for getting through immigration but what about the ticket itself?

Thank you for your time

Kirsty

You will want to book your airline ticket under the name in your passport - for security reasons, your ID (passport for international travel) will be matched to your ticket (and they must match). Most folks will bring a copy of their marriage certificate to show, if requested, to match name on PR/Green Card. (Do not book travel under married name because many airlines charge a premium if you later want to change the name of the traveler - if they'll allow it at all.)
