Is there a K1 couple from chicago / chicago suburbs?

I'll fly to the states Feb 5 and will live in the Naperville area (west suburbs) of chicago.

I am from eastern Iowa about 4 hours from Chicago. Waiting for Marina's appointment letter.

It has been 17 days since Marina's interview and no visa yet. When I emailed the consulate they said it is still in processing. Isn't this a little out of range for Frankfurt? We have purchased a ticket for her to travel on March 24th. Should I be concerned?

Hi Steve,

Frankfurt does seem to be a little slow these days..

It could be that they're waiting for some additional documents.

Did she take the medical in Frankfurt just shortly before the interview? Maybe they're waiting for the results... I waited over two weeks for my vaccination records.

Could they be waiting for criminal records from abroad? (There has been only one case so far where I've heard that the consulate is waiting for the police certificate from another European country to arrive until they can send out the passport and stuff)

Don't worry - two more weeks to go. I'm sure it'll get to her place in time!
