i mean it s funny how people would find the action of a killer disgusting, but yet approve of his/her execution...

Why? You're telling me that I've got on one hand a man who ties 6 year old girls up, tortures them, kills them, and cuts them into pieces,

then I've got on the otherhand a bed, with a man with an IV pumped into him, putting him gracefully to sleep, and slowly put death, and I'm supposed to see both of these people's deaths exactly the same?

Huh?

What is the problem here in this struggle with the logic of capitol punishment. It is not complicated. Its very, very simple. One guy is a menace to society, has ruined a family for life, and killed an innocent person. The other person is an innocent child. Their executions have nothing in common with the exception that someones life has expired.

There are too many criminals in prison to have prison reform.

Then how about better and tougher laws to DETER people from committing crime?

The death penalty didn't/doesn't prevent violent crime. I don't know what would deter crime, unless they start exectuting people for jaywalking and not paying parking tickets.

faster executions where dna evidence pinpoints the perp. more hard labor rather than cable tv and air conditioning.

Where I work, they do get cable, but they don't have air conditioning....nor do we in most places inside the prison.

hey long time no see. where have you been?

no what im telling you is that killing is killing no matter what reason, situation, or ways...

think of it as being voted off the island (or out of the gene pool).

i have worked in 3 prisons.....

first of all..all areas ..like tv..etc is a method on inmate control...that is, a ways to control the general population..for a cellblock..there is usually 2 guards per 100 inmates...and at medium and min. facilities..the population is out of the cell all day....

the cost of housing inmates is astonishing...and they alone, has changed the process ...quicker paroles..less time in prison...etc...

don't think watching a tv show or a movie is the true view of prisons

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

So... if killing is killing, no matter what the situation might be, then killing someone in self defense is the same as killing someone because they gave you a funny look, right?
