Hi guys:

1--)The link that I'm following to assemble I-130 package says a copy of intending immigrants birth cert. is not required.(Step-by-Step Guide on How to File an I-130 for Relative (spouse) Outside the US http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...age=i130guide1)

Is this still the case?Don't they reall need immigrants birth cert.passport doc.s anymore?

2--)When we use money order for the payment, does the payment need to be made to " USCIS" or do we use long version of the name?

3--)Step by step guide also indicates "Evidence of a bonafide marriage doc.s to be submitted along with I-130 package. Is this I-864 form and all its forms(tax returns,W2s,bank statements etc.) or is it different than I-864 affidavit of support package ...I thought we send I-864 and all its forms once we are asked by the USCIS.

For the evidence of a bonafide marriage ,we would be able to provide joint credit card and a truck owned by both of us.Would that be enough? We still got all the forms required for I-864 package once we are asked to send them.

Thnx in advance.

for "evidence of a bonafide marriage" you might have more than you are thinking about.

you guys on same health insurance through work?

you guys each others beneficiaries on life insurance?

you can add each other to a checking account if you wanted to have some additional proof....or open a new bank account.

1. Your link didn't work for me. We included a copy of the beneficiary's birth certificate and bio page of the passport. Better safe than sorry.

2. We made it out to United Stats Customs and Immigration Services.

3. No, the I-864 is requested by NVC and NOT USCIS. You will want to include your marriage certificate, pictures, e-mails etc to show your relationship.

Good luck.

Hi,

The most important at this stage that you fill out the forms perfectly; include the check, Passport size photo for both, Marriage certificate (if possible the Original), Passport copy of both, and Employment Letter of petitioner.

Request for 2 originals of Marriage certificates and keep one for interview purposes, further along the process.

I did not submit Birth Certificate at this stage and I wrote the check out to "U.S. Department of Homeland Security". Make sure to include a Cover Letter.

W2's and I-864 is all for NVC purposes.

Best of luck!

you are filing an I-130...correct?...you do NOT need to include the beneficiarys birth cert., but you DO need to included the petitioners (us citizens) birth cert. ...when you make out the money order make it payable to the DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY (as per the USCIS instructions), and as far as evidence of a "bona-fide" relationship, include your marriage certificate... pics, emails, etc are only asked for at the embassy interview and in my case they only asked for 5 pics...i was petitioning for a CR1 visa...try going to the USCIS website and downloading the instructions along with the I-130 form....all your questions will be answered there...these are pretty basic questions, that I cannot believe are answer so poorly here on VJ

NO NEED FOR BENEFICIARY TO SUBMIT BC. PETITIONER MUST SHOW PROOF OF US CITIZENSHIP THO.

2--)When we use money order for the payment, does the payment need to be made to " USCIS" or do we use long version of the name?

Make the check or money order payable to U.S. Department of Homeland Security,

NO NEED TO SUBMIT FINANCIAL INFORMATION WITH INITIAL PETITION. THAT WILL HAPPEN AT NVC LATER.

For the evidence of a bonafide marriage ,we would be able to provide joint credit card and a truck owned by both of us.Would that be enough? We still got all the forms required for I-864 package once we are asked to send them.
