Tracking from NVC to Montreal

I think I was able to track my package from the NVC to Montreal. I followed the steps listed on some of the threads here.

I guessed that it was mailed a day after completion. Would this be about right? And is there any more certain way of knowing for sure?

If you are awaiting a CR-1 interview your physical case remains at NVC until after the interview is assigned to you and then it is sent. K-3's are only at NVC long enough to get a case # and then are sent to MTL right away.

I thought they forwarded the file once the interview date had been set but I'm not sure. Anyone know the answer to this?

I was able to find the tracking number for a package sent today from NVC to Montreal but it doesn't specify individual files so how would we even know if our file was included?

It's not forwarded right away for CR1/IR1 - or at least as of last year it wasn't. I can't remember why I emailed them to ask something about the documents and they wrote back that it was only either forwarded a few weeks before or only every two weeks, something like that - so they couldn't check...whatever it was.

I was just curious as to why anyone would want to track it since you can't follow your individual file. I've had enough of the constant checking of our progress online over the past 7 months.:wacko:
