If his weapon is better, you are dead so how do you 'take it'? Or was that your mate who got it?

Not necessarily. Patience and quile. Unless the Chinese soldier is going to kill every citizen on sight, there will be opportunity. Assynetrical warfare. The defender always has an inherent advantage.

So any gun that can kill, in sufficient quantities, can birth an effective resistance?

There is no real need for military-style hardware?

In essence, yes, if there is the will. Now, I hope you are not going to make the jump to assuming cosmetic changes only make a weapon superior.

Don't pistol grips and barrel shrouds make it easier to shoot from the hip?

No I will not make that jump.

But thanks for your input. Clearly, any gun capable of killing a human being, in sufficient quantities, can deter an invading force.

Man is made by his belief. As he believes, so he is.

how else are the unarmed sheep going to become armed? use a firearm to take one ... now you have two (one to share or keep)

wonder how the invader would feel about having their own guns/ ammo / weapons used against them?

600K of them would crush cali resistance, but then, just as hope appeared to be failing, the 3.5 million pennsylvania deer hunters who hit the woods each november would arrive in a pick-up truck caravan and rout the chinese with an assortment of hunting and sport utility rifles.

it would be over in 2 days, and the only dissapointment in the experience would be to those who failed to fill their tag. justashooter would be there with the twin belt fed brownings and an assortment of fn/fal, ak, and ar to try out. he woud prolly also bring a few subguns for house clearing, and would find out if 30 tokarev ammo really will peirce the average chinese helmet. his wife, not really that impressed with the chinese government, would come along to help interrogate the prisoners.

Would you be able to rout the Chinese invasion force with weapons that are currently legal?

The only weapon you really need is what will kill the enemy. Then if his weapon is better, you take his, and his ammunition.

love the liberator. you do know, of course, that stampings in that pattern are currently available through weaponeer.net?

a friend recently opened a tin of that steel cased 45 and gave me a sample with 1944 dates. i put it in the disply case for when things get reallllllly bad.

If the Chinese invaded the West Coast, what kind of guns would you need?

Answer: We don't need no freakin' guns. Ever heard of M.A.D.? Better known as Mutual Assured Destruction. It is the same defense we have had since the Cold War and little has changed to the plan. Invade us...we nuke you. We invade you...you nuke us.

The whole game falls apart when you are dealing with nutjobs like Jihadists who jack off on martyrdom. Suicide bombers laugh at M.A.D. For everyone else M.A.D. is the deterent that keeps the Golden Hordes at bay.

I take it you are not a gun owner, because I think you just made A.J's point for him. Well done that man!

Oh wait, did Justashooter beat you to it? Let me check...

No, I think you won because in Shooters scenario the weapons were still necessary to ensure victory. Hurrah!

Sorry to disappoint you but I have enough guns and ammo to deter the common garden variety azzholes from taking undue liberties on my humble castle, but I doubt it would prevail against even the most incompetently led army. I would give them a run for the money though. If some of my neighbors were similarly equipt and we decided that it was in our common interest to do so, we might even prevail against even that. The possibilities are endless.

"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."

;)

"Credibility in immigration policy can be summed up in one sentence: Those who should get in, get in; those who should be kept out, are kept out; and those who should not be here will be required to leave."

"...for the system to be credible, people actually have to be deported at the end of the process."

As they own all the U.S. treasuries, they already own the U.S. - so they would just send an eviction notice

We could all move to Mexico - there won't be any people there soon at this rate so it's ideal

They wouldn't attack wasilla

Not with her there - jeez thank goodness its not contiguous

Anyway she is trained at shaking devils out of people - so when they saw her coming with both hands outstretched and those curled lips - they wouldnt stop til they got to Tibet

There were 1,023 M-110A2s in the Army inventory in the early 1990s, prior to the system being phased out of service.
