I've noticed that when some people post topics, they also post their status on their progress.....My question is how is it that some people have either their I-130s or I-129Fs approved so quickly when the lag time is usually around 6-7 months on the I-130s at the California Serv. Center......I just noticed that some people send in their I-130s (also to CSC) around March 2006 (the same time I've sent my I-130) and they've already had theirs approved. And according to the USCIS website, they are only still processing applications from Dec. 17, 2005 (as of June 20). How is this possible?

Not sure about this but I remember asking the same thing and a very kind person informed me that the service centres do not file things by date order but generally put things in a pile, so you could find that people who filed after you end up on the top of the pile and you are at the bottom and then eventually they clear that pile and start again.

That's what probably happened to ours because I was seeing just the same thing happening as you. You will get there but it's hard waiting I know, hope you hear something very soon

If you post your timeline, the site can calculate more reliable statistics. There are some who receive approval to their immigrant visa (I-130) before their non-immigrant visa (I-129f). This has always been the case, even before IMBRA. What's your situation?

I have a similar case -- my I-130 got approved (last month) and my priority date is March 2nd for 129F. The website indicates that March 5th files are being processed, but I have not heard anything for the past 3 weeks. So, is it worth calling them yet? Or will I be given the standard response of "call back in 90 days".

Thanks

KP

Your case is likely on someone's desk right now, if you've got the timelines right.

Your case is not officially overdue until the posted processing date is 30 days past your NOA date.

So, no, IMO, it's not worth calling.
