I'm a little confused as to what to do next.

After we get married and have her name changed in Social Security, what's next?

She wasn't planning to work, so we don't have EAD or whatever it was.

Is it AOS that we do? What exactly is the step for AOS?

Thank you.

What is next is Step 20 on the K1 Flowchart (which is file AOS). http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...amp;page=k1flow

You may want to read the guides and FAQ.

File for EAD with AOS, it costs nothing when based on pending I-485 (C )(9 )

If here on K-1 you may file an I-131 for AP doc, just in case you need to travel while AOS is pending.

I would recommend you file for the EAD anyway, she may change her mind later, and it might cost you time and money for not doing it now.

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.
