After going through a 2nd congress person and getting them to contact the DOS liaison, the Embassy has contacted us twice in the past 2 days. Thursday they asked a stupid question about Haydar's passport (which they have). Today, they called and requested a 2nd medical check because the first one expired. This is good, right? They wouldn't ask for it unless they were close to issuing the visa, right?

Look forward to hearing the visa is in hand shortly. The medical must of expired and they needed an updated one before they could continue processing.

They still say AP but to provide the Embassy info requested.

If the hurdles of AP are not cleared, there is no point to ask for another medical. It wastes your time as well as theirs. I have never heard of someone in AP being asked for another medical just to be jerked around so it seems you are very close. I would call DOS everyday and hope to get different representatives. Some will tell you more than others so keep calling (never more than once a day because they know and mark it in the computer).

That's an excellent sign, it means they started to "move" and take an action.Hopefully your medical will be done soon and they won't need anything else , I know the feeling when you wait and wait and still wait....

But soon it will be over hopefully and you will get your visa.

I am so happy to hear there is finally some progress. Hopefully it will be really soon that the visa will come!
