Hi All VJ member ...specially Mumbai Consulate,

I have submitted my documents etc at VFS today..

window open at 8 am. i was first in a queue, so i have finished all things at 8:30

at window nice gentleman was there.he has asked for original birth certificate and marriage certificate. my wife has already submitted original at NVC then also he asked for original. He has taken both PCC as well. DS230, Rs. 387 courier fee and 2 photograph also.

after that, he has asked for my birth certificate in regional language (i mean in Gujarati). I didnt have that...so, he told me to bring at the time of interview.

my suggestion is that take all original certificate (obtain extra copy from issuing authority) and certified copy as well. VFS have Xerox facility in side office as well.

if you have appointment letter fro NVC or Mumbai consulate, take 3-4 photocopy of both.....if you have not received letter from Mumbai Consulate then request for duplicate via email or go directly to consulate, because at VFS office, they will ask for Mumbai Consulate letter. In my case i had not received letter day before. so , i have requested to Consulate for duplicate letter, they have sent me immediately in email. and that helped me a lot.

dont take ant electronic item or bag at VFS ...its not allowed inside and no locker facilty is there. take simply plastic bag and necessary documents only.

regards,

Peter
