Hello I would like to know if anyone has info regarding a CR-1 AOS (adjustment of status )to IR-1 of a U.S. spouse and if we have to have another Medical exam or will the medical she had overseas before obtaining her Visa be alright ? We are going to file form I 751 in a few more months and are not clear about the medical exam part of it. I have been told she must see a Civil Surgeon and do another complete Medical Exam, as well as I have been told she just has to complete the immunization record. Any info regarding this would be of great help, thanks TC

Immigrants do not adjust status. Adjustment of Status has to do with a NON-Immigrant adjusting status to Immigrant, that is a K-Visa holder filing an I-485 to adjust status to an immigrant and get a green-card.

A medical is not needed when filing I-751.
