Back in my freshman year of college we went to Brandon, MB with a few of my american and canadian college friends from ND. One of the american guys asked one of the Canadian girls we were hanging out with, So do you have Polar Bears in Canada? She replied, Oh yeah we have polar bears, one of my uncles runs a polar bear farm in northern MB. She had him going on that for like 5 minutes!!!

LoL, I'm obsessed with going to Churchill, MB. I want to see the polar bears. I hate zoos, they always depress me.

Do you know what I find an interesting difference? In Canada, as you enter a city/town, you see the population listed on the sign. Here, I haven't seen that at all. And, sometimes, they don't even have a sign showing the name of the city/town, let alone the population.

I've noticed that for decades. Nowhere I can recall right now does that, there may be a few cities, but not many. In Arizona all the city signs are <insert town name> followed by "Mainstreet America".

In Colorado we have the elevation under our towns and city names.

On the topic of Vineager. The only thing I have ever used it for is cleaning. It's great to clean microwaves, just dampen a cloth with it on, heat it up a bit and wipe. We were taught this at the food court place I used to work at as a teen. I don't mind the salt and Vineager chips, but too many numbs my mouth. I've actually tried it once on a friends fries once and just thought it was the nastiest thing. I never did get that concept of why people put it on the fries, but once again, its yet another British tradition that got carried over the water to North America like so many other things that you see in Canada and not the US...

I'm just a wanderer in the desert winds...

We were at a car dealership the other day on a car search. The salesman asked if there'd be a trade-in. I said yes if we get a good price for it so he asked me what it was. I said "A ZX2." He said "How do you spell that?" I said "Z. X. 2." He went  . My husband looked up and said "Zee X2."

 too funny, I actually had the zed zee convo with my hubby yesterday driving back to the US. I was listening to my favourite Toronto radio station Z103.5, but on the radio they say zee 103.5 and I was wondering why, since it's a Canadian station

That's hiliarious! My new last name ends in a Z, so I constantly have to remind myself to say Zee when spelling it out. I know Zed is going to slip one of these days!!

The other day at work I said, Mobile like Mo-bye-le and my 2 coworkers looks at me like I had 2 heads... so i was like, sorry I meant 'Mobull' - and they were like, haha we knew what you meant, but it just sounded so cute!

I was around the Fort Sill/Lawton, in Oklahoma area and they scan the back of ID's to see whether or not a certain person is allowed on base. So, they asked for my ID, and without thinking I gave them my AB license. The guy scanned it and nothing came up, so he started going on about how my ID was fake and that I should be arrested. And how Alberta wasn't even a state... so I pulled out my CDN passport. Since then, I use my Passport for ID when in the USA
