dont want to be mean or anything but i found this really funny.

I went to a nail and spa salon recently and all the workers are asian.

The lady was explaining to me all the services and prices and kinds of nails, and im nodding and asking questions back and understanding everything shes saying even with her pretty strong asian accent. Well when we go sit down at her table she laughs a bit and says " im surprised you actually understand me! you cant be an american they never understand what we say here. " I laughed and said i was from canada and she laughed and said " ohhh no wonder you can understand us !!! " she was really nice and a real cute girl.

I can say that, at least for me, she is right. I grew up in Florida with very few Asian people in my life - mostly Hispanic people. I have a really hard time understanding Asian accents - whereas my husband has a hard time with Hispanic accents.

When asked where in the UK I came from I replied - Sheffield.

The Yank immediately responded with - so which team do you support? Manchester or Arsenal?

Sounds quite logical to me  But the correct response is LIVERPOOL!!! Another acceptable response would be "Whomever is playing Chelksi" :)

"...My hair's mostly wind,

My eyes filled with grit

My skin's white then brown

My lips chapped and split

I've lain on the prairie and heard grasses sigh

I've stared at the vast open bowl of the sky

I've seen all the castles and faces in clouds

My home is the prairie and for that I am proud…

If You're not from the Prairie, you can't know my soul

You don't know our blizzards; you've not fought our cold

You can't know my mind, nor ever my heart

Unless deep within you there's somehow a part…

A part of these things that I've said that I know,

The wind, sky and earth, the storms and the snow.

Best say that you have - and then we'll be one,

For we will have shared that same blazing sun." - David Bouchard
