Fair enough about the pronunciation of the letter, to each his own.

For your review...and I quote "every American receptionist I deal with has a brain the size of a peanut? Guess they've never been further then (should be 'than' by the way) around the corner to the mall". Yet you rail against me, saying I am bitter and hateful. Yet you accuse me of insulting Quebecers. You are right in one thing that if I am offended, there is nothing you can do about that, however, you were quick to come to the defense of Quebec when you felt offended by what I said. All I ask for is equality in flames.

It was me who defended Quebec, well actually I wasn't defending Que. I think they can take care of themselves.

You see Scott, when you do a ####### for tat exchange, expect a little flaming. As I said, the peanut comment was rude, what you said was rude - so I guess what you are really complaining about is unequal critisism of posts.

Well geez, we are just posters, not the ####### for tat posts complaints department.

And again I would ask how is it that defending one peanut brained receptionist is rude? What did I really say that was so awful?

In what way have my posts come across as bitter and hateful? That I would ask that the facts be reviewed? In your defense, I have responded to replies as though they have all come from the same person. I was not confused, I was actually doing that on purpose because everyone seems to have the same opinion in that, for me to defend the peanut brained receptionist is somehow wrong.

You respond to posts that you can get the most mileage out of. Twice now I have said I thought the peanut comment was rude too (this makes it three).

Here is what you said:

QUOTE (Sc0tt28 @ Oct 6 2009, 12:28 PM)

So maybe it is you that has the "brain the size of a peanut" because you go to the states where you know that people say "zee" and not "zed" and yet you repeatedly use a word that is unfamiliar to Americans. I guess it would take a person with a brain bigger than a peanut to just start out saying "zee" when in the United States.

If you can't see what is rude about that - well i'm 100% sure I can't tell you.

To quote the shamwow guy:

YOu're gonna LOVE my nuts!

Peanuts are getting a bad rap here, people... Oh, for that matter, so are brains.

Ok, you are right, and while I apologized for offending anyone about the Quebec comment, I realize that this comment may have been viewed as....hmmm....hostile? I am sorry if anyone other than the person I replied to was offended by my remarks. However, I assert that the person I replied to was deserving of a flame and that's all it was.

lets leave "flames" out of it,lol

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1
