If you received a request for additional document(s) from the Consul/USEM, for example: an NBI Clearance, how long did it take them to review it, once you've submitted it personally? Or, if you have not heard from them yet, how long have you been waiting? Just want to see an average timeline, so I know what to expect.

LOTS of people get request for documents. Time it takes depends on what they want. Could take from 1 week to months.

Average time probably about one month. Did you get a 221g?

LOTS of people get one saying "wait to you hear from us" or something like that.

Not a 221g. They were only requesting for a single piece of document. Not to mention that document happens to be just an NBI clearance with a clean record. It shouldn't take them months to review it, right?

My fiancee had her interview January 13th. She was asked for me to provide additional documents that she submitted the next day. It took about 3 1/2 weeks when she received a letter from the Manila embassy that they needed more documents from me. She submitted the required documents February 12th. I had to purchase a pin number again (which by the way works for 3 calls) and I asked for the K-1 status of my petition. I have called twice in the past two weeks and both times I was told that it is "under review". We are now going into our 7th week of waiting and it's really beginning to suck eggs, ehehehe. Yeah, they may be busy there, but I'm just as busy too. I've accomplished quite a bit in the past 6 weeks working in a service oriented trade. I find it hard to believe it could take more than 6 weeks to look at a couple of documents, but to be sitting on a person's desk for two weeks just blows me away. There are people who are waiting for one person's decision, as plane fares are rising and are anxious to move forward in life.

But then again, for the peepz working in the embassy, to them it's another day in an office space. SMILE. Be patient. That's our tax money at work ;)

I had my interview on Feb. 23 and submitted the requested document on Feb. 26. They called me the next day requesting for another original copy of I-134. I told them that I only have the photocopy and if I have to wait for the original from my fiance then it would delay the release of my visa again for several days. They said I can try submitting the photocopy. I submitted it the same day(Feb.27, Friday) and got my visa after 3 working days.

Also, have your fiance call the embassy and talk with Grace. That one call can make a difference.

Goodluck.

You forgot to submit your NBI clearance? If that's all they've wanted from you and there is no record of any wrongdoing then it should not take long for them to review your case and get approved.Good luck!

221G - Request for Additional Documents..........

What else is checked? Does it say WAIT TILL YOU HEAR FROM US?

As soon as you submit the requested documents always follow up with the embassy.

Goodluck to you!
