The only work information i had to list for my husband was his current job. They did not ask how much money he makes or anything of such sort. I doubt they will ask that.

Speaking of DS-230, what is the best way to answer question #34 (Were you Assisted in Completing this Application?) My husband is currently filling out this form, and we go over the every question together. Is it okay to say YES (that I helped him fill it out)? Or would that look bad? Please advise. Thanks.

I do not think that they would ask for proof of employment. They would ask for more important documents and information rather than your employment background..

If you are the benificiary and your income is not being taken into consideration, I say don't even mention it. For anything you put down in the form, you should be able to prove it. If you dont have the proof; and its not relevant - why mention it at all.

@carlish: Reflect the same thing as was done in form DS 3032. If he selected you as choice of agent, then definitely say "Yes" and put in the petitioner name. Hope this helps.

Your petitioner can fill ip up but the benificiary still need to make the petitioner if they choose to as the AGENT... the DS230 will be the benificiary as she need to signed it.

i put yes in that selection, as i did help my wife fill the ds-230 in....to answer the original question in this thread, if you worked, sure, put it down...it's always good to be ABSOLUTELY truthful when filling out forms like the DS-230...you won't need to provide proof of that....
