Hi all - as we continue to fill out paperwork and wait for official copies of our marriage certificate to arrive, a couple of housekeeping questions have come up.

1) I ordered forms from the government directly. The AOS forms they sent me have a green form called "ADIT IMFORMATIONAL SHEET" attached to them. Based on the form number (letters at the bottom ADIT LOU) it may be particular to my local office. I didn't see anything like it in example forms.

ADIT

2) Just to verify that we can send one check to cover the I-485 and the biometrics ( I know that the AP and EAD cosy nothing if filed with the I-485).

3) We send everything to the Chicago lockbox, but our contact (biometrics/interview/etc.) is here local.

Thanks

Congratulations on you marriage. I know you are both very happy.:dance::dance::dance:

I don't know what the AUDIT sheet is. You may just want to download the forms from USCIS at:

http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/men...00045f3d6a1RCRD

Yes, just send one check to cover the I-485 and the biometrics.

There is a filling fee for AP and EAD. Check the forms at USCIS above.

Send the forms to the address listed on each form. It doesn't matter that the biometrics are local. When it gets to be that time, USCIS will mail you a notice of appointment with the date, time, and location.

Good luck in your journey.

Ordered? Why didn't you just download them off the site?

Scratch that - didn't see the picture you had - must be for your the auditing of the info ...

Looks like most people send on check to cover the cost.

The guide above has the checklist for the AOS - good info there!

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

1) ADIT is now biometrics

2) One check for $1,010 is OK

3) Yes, your biometrics will be at the ASC with jurisdiction over your address. Your interview (if selected) will be at the USCIS field office with jurisdiction

YMMV

Generally speaking, the biometrics appointment will satisfy the ADIT requirement. I could not pull up your link.

Thanks for the congrats! I don't think there is a separate fee for the AP and EAD. The application for EAD says that the fee is waived if you file concurrently with the I-485. Also, the entire package needs to be sent together I understand - and I think for AOS it is to Chicago.

Good - I just couldn't figure out why the form was necessary, as it asks for the same info as some of the others. Apparently others are not sending it though.

I think it's because most of us download our forms directly B)

1. Never heard of it. Possibly a literacy test for Kentucky applicants. Sorry, couldn't resist. They should know the first three letters of "Louisville" are "LUH".

2. Yes. I sent one check for AOS fees and biometrics fees for TWO people. In the same envelope with both I-485s plus I-765 and I-131. Sent everything for two people in one envelope with one check. No problem (as long as the check doesn't bounce!)

3. Correct. Chicago will forward it to "Missouri" who will forward it to your local office (Luhvul, I presume) and they will set up the biometrics and interview there.

And I heard the best one from a ticket agent at the Odessa airport. She screwed up her face in concentration and said "Lewisvilya" Vika does really well with the accent and slang considering. There are lots of people from rural Kentucky that I find hard to understand, even after five years here.

Strange area, I know. One person speaks perfectly well without an accent, the next speaks with such a strong accent they are hard to understand. It is one of those "border" areas. By the way the "all dressed" expression I never heard anywhere else but Kentucky is very commonly said in Quebec! In French AND English. Go figure. I lived near Ft. Knox where there are tons of German and Korean wives of soldiers. If an obviously NOT Oriental person speaks with ANY kind of foreign accent, they automatically assume she is German. Not sure if Vika will run into that in Looovul, but down around Ft. Knox she would. Here, the second language is French, very much so, and many people, hearing Alla's accent, will start to speak French to her, which she does not understand at all. LOL
