Sorry champi but after the meanie i got yesterday I can\'t help but respond with this: RELIEF???? WE NEED THE FREAKIN REFLIEFFFFFFFFFFF!!!:unsure::whistle: I will keep calling until I get a satisfying answer. The nerve of that idiot hanging up on me when I am in the middle of my question!!! She\'s dreaming if she thinks I will stop calling just cz she got mean! Not this USC!! I was rmbing u champi how one of them made u cry. I felt the same way yesterday but all the more reason to not back off! We are so close to the finish line and they know it. I am starting to wonder if they are delaying all of us till the April 15th deadline on purpose so they would have to issue less case completes till then since they are backed up!!

I think they should be thinking the opposite. Try to get as many April case completed as possible so less pain to deal with in terms of phone calls, mails, data entry into system.... All these stuff is work on their part too, right? Only if they could do bit of future planning ;)

Good morning everyone. After yesterday, now I just hope we all have a stress-less and pleasant day. And with some luck, good news too :)

What's the April 15th deadline? Is that for assigning May interviews? But doesn't that depend on the embassy's schedule?

No need to panic. I got one too and I posted a note about it on VJ. Most people said to ignore the email.

HI NVCers :P

Yes, ignore....they seem to be slow to catch up. Our AVR also says they are missing our AOS which we have sent and was received on 03/30...go figure

The April 15th is the deadline for filing taxes in the US. So NVC won't request (doesn't have the legal right to request '08 tax returns) unless case complete is not done by the 15th. That's why I am hoping our case is done before Wednesday so we won't be further delayed due to them requesting my new taxes :star: .

NVC Journey: Finally OVER APRIL 21, 2009!!! INTERVIEW PASSED 05/12/09; VISA IN HAND 05/20/09

04/14/2009 : Found out K3 was forwarded to the consulate in Leb and CR1 stuck in AP; 04/18/09: K3 delivered

Thanks, Champi! I'll call NVC on Monday morning to see if I'm under review yet. One boring day I was surfing the Net and came across the resume of a former NVC case processor who had a quota of 103 cases per 8 hours to get through, i.e. 12 minutes per case (not taking into account any breaks they might take throughout the day).

Boredom may have made me creativity but not much productive, at least that's what my manager would say for today ;) Oh, and boredom has definitely started to make me stupid now..... Despite trying very hard to resist the urge of calling NVC, I just called. And guess what? I got the same boring answer, '4 to 6 weeks'. You know, if they could tell me bit more than that, I wouldn't mind them taking this long to review the case!" But comeeohhnn guyz!

Anyways, enuf of my ranting... I see a very dark sky out here with severe weather warnings flashing everyone... I better get going before mother nature gets creative on me ;)

Have a good weekend everyone :)

PS: 12mins per case :o well, why does it take 10 or 15 days to complete then? Maybe they verify 1 page of the case in those 12mins ;)

I called NVC to inquire about my DS230 and also check if my IV bill issue has been fixed...and I got the same annoying respose 2-6 weeks.

Now if only NVC gave us real valuable information their call center would not be jamed up taking 2-3 calls from each applicant daily

3 Hours before NVC closes for the weekend......goodluck!

Stay safe out there Champi....Have a great weekend everyone.

Hahaha, nice work champi!

Here we go to another weekend knowing we won't have any updates. But good luck for all of us and let's hope to hear good news the next week :D

Apparently my I-864 has been approved and the DS-230 got in the system today.

Ah, and Happy Easter :)

called again to NVC and same old answer tht they hv not received any documents from us.

for my husband, when he called after me, the lady told they hv got some kindda mail and there are two possibilities after checking mail, either they will go on next step or they will ask for more papers needed, i dont understand anything? what she means by mail? and does it takes 2-6 weeks to check a single mail?

:wacko::wacko: i am confused and totally frustrated of calling and getting same reply daily but anways i will try on monday to call them and will check if she has got third kindda answer for me...

Hi K.D,

Believe me, all of us feel your pain and frustration. I've to say thought, it does not take 4 to 6 weeks to review the case. I think that's just a standard answer they give to everyone till our cases get completed. I am really hoping we get some good news, or at least a bit of different information like, "your case is almost complete, call back next week" or "your case is in final review"..... no RFEs.... please God please....

I feel hopeful knowing that gixbr's AOS package got approved. That's the package I am more worried about right now...

Good luck to all... Let's hope the coming week is a week of wonder for us all... :)

Cool Serendipity_, at least NOT PAID IV bill wont cause delay... I was going to call NVC one more time today but I gave up... I just want a restful mind... So maybe Monday :) You've a safe and good weekend too... I plan to do my taxes ;)

KD what's your timeline? When did you send your documents?

I think what she meant by "checking mail" it the actual review of the documents and the "next step" is whatever the next step would be, in my case the next step would be having an interview date assigned. And yes, they say it takes 2-6 weeks, but it's usually not like that at all.

we've sent final packet of forms on 17th march but after that our lawyer got a letter on 3 rd april about some documents missing.. and we'd sent missing documents earlier this week ...

i called NVC 2-3 times but the operator said that they have not got anything from us.. today morning when my husband called ,she said they'd got some mail from us earlier in this week.. "give us 6-10 weeks of review and we'll inform you if we need something else. or your case will forward in next step."

so when should i call them back? and can i believe our case is almost complete.
