Hi gibxr.... as i stated already it could be coz i had n expedite at NVC and my consulate asked for the case to be sent to them... thats the reason why it was sent...when its an expedite its a totally different process

So in your case the consulate will give you the interview date?

Our expedite request got approved on the 22 Apr and our file is on its way to the consulate. You mentioned that its a different process for expedite - can you shed some more light on this so I know what to expect?

I don't mean to offend you guys by this post. I thought it was extremely difficult to get expedite request approved, it's like beneficiary or petitioner has to be on deathbed.. Are you guys in similar situation or this is just another step all VJ members can take to get things moving quickly? I wish the best to both for the reasons of your expedite..

as i stated before already several times, my husband is deployed in the US armed forces thats why my expedite got approved... and it took 15 days for my case to be approved why it was still at NVC status.

No offense taken Champi. I fully understand everyones need to be reunited with their loved ones asap.

Having a case expedited, I do not believe is another way for VJers to get things moving quickly if this is the only reason they want it expedited. The process is in place for a reason. If VJ members can demonstrate that they meet and satisfy the criteria to have the case expedited then they should consider applying if they wish to do so. Our request to expedite obviously satisfied their criteria and hence was approved.

Please do not take offense, but I cannot and will not answer any more questions regarding our expedite request. It is a private matter.

Good luck and hope your interview dates come out very soon! I am praying for you all!

Wow champi...Congrats...that's so great!!!! I am hoping for an interview date soon...we got case complete on April 8th. Did you get an e-mail yet??

I called NVC and talked to an operator. I asked her if there was any update to my case and she said my case was completed on April 13th and interview was scheduled on June 2nd, 8am. AVR still says that 8 week #######!
