Waiting For Case Completion At NVC

Vivian, July 4th would be nice, but I am hoping more like our first wedding anniversary in JUNE I won't be too sad about him missing my upcoming birthday next month but the anniversaryyyyy please GOD make it happen!!

Amanda, keep us posted We are hoping the same from our consulate. Hubby just texted me saying they contacted him to come pick up his K3 packet tomorrow so we are hoping that they will be super nice to us and fit our CR1 interview in May as opposed to June as well They have been very nice and helpful to us so far. I hope we get our wish

Hey GS I will definitely keep you posted. I wanted my hubby to be here for my birthday in May too, but I don't think he will get here by May 8th! But I hope he can make it near his birthday on June 13th! Oh & GS....does your husband have a US embassy there in Lebanon. I heard that a couple of countries over there, can't remember which ones, have to go to the embassy in Jordan...have you heard that?

Hey Amanda, Yes Lebanon now has a US embassy thank GOD! When i came to America 13 yrs ago I had to go for my CR1 interview in Syria.

Guess what? I think we still have hope to get May interview depending on our consulate. I just got off the phone with NVC and this is wt i was told:

Our CR1 is still in final stages-almost done bas still not complete. I think it's still early in the morning. I will try in the afternoon. The operator I spoke to said once the case complete, they will schedule interview 2nd week of May, so I said if the consulate has a MAY opening and they request the file from u will u send it and is that a possibility and she said yes but the consulate has to ask them for the file. So call/contact ur consulate everyone ASAP!

Wow...that's awesome GS! We still have hope!! I e-mailed the embassy in Amman last week and they told me they were working on the month of May....so I am trying not to freak out about it...just stay calm and not get my hopes up! Maybe it is Palestine that doesn't have a US embassy...not sure. Anyway...maybe I will call NVC later today to see what they tell me about my case. Its weird...I haven't called NVC in over a week and while I was waiting for case complete I think I called like 3 times a day!! Crazy how this whole process can be all-consuming!

Oh yeah all consuming alright!!! I can't wait till this whole thing is over with so I can have my brain back (cz as of right now it's jammed with the immigration process info overload and hardly able to focus on much else)!! and of course my hubby

I hope we both get our wish Amanda! And good luck to all others waiting to cross the next hurdle

Congrats all who just got case completed at NVC.... im waiting to hear from embassy as well.... but i just checked again with AVR and its saying that my case was forwarded to my consulate on the same day it was completed.... and that for further questions i have to contact my consulate.... hope that we all hear something positive real soon

OOHHHHHH that's so cool His Wifey!! OMG it would be so awesome if they decide to do the same to our case. I think it all depends on whether or not the consulate is ready to accept the file. I believe I read somewhere that NVC keeps the file until it's ready to be abjudicated to a consular officer abroad.

Just called again..OMG I am so obssessed with hearing case complete I already called 3 times this morning..someone stop me hahahahaha I can only imagine how many times I will call until they tell me the file has been shipped. I won't rest till it leaves NVC for good (eh hehe maybe I should revise that cz in reality I won't rest till hubby is back in my arms )

This waiting is giving butterflies in my stomach and we're not even going for the interview! I can only imagine how hubby will feel on that day!

congratulations to all who get case completion in this week.

i hope mine is on the way somewhere... can anyone tel me how many days it takes generaly..... its been 7 business days since they've started review.. still today they said they are revewing documents.... can i expect any RFE??

all i know is that my consulate is not that busy.... but we ll see how it goes from there.... and i can imagine your husband GS4ever since im the beneficiary! and i have to go to another country to have the medical and interview.... which sucks.... but yeah... at least i ll get to visit two more cities i havent been to i know... im trying to be positive! lol

thanks i dont know about the may part.... and im still waiting for paperwork from the hubby which is on the way (hubby is deployed so the post just takes forever)... but june will be cool for me and i have to book flights and hotel to go to consulate and i ve never been there

Wow, congrats His Wifey, thats great news. Sorry if I sound confused but I have read that many threads that I am starting to go cross eyed - But I just wanted to know that it was your IR1/CR1 case that got transferred the day it was completed at NVC?

congrats to everyone who have there case complete this week...mine is not yet.AVR says NVC receive my documents last April 20th ..wish it will be complete soon, it is so difficult to sleep at night while thinking about my case, and keep reading on my photocopy of the documents everyday to see if i did wrong or something ...

Congrats K.D. & GS!!!! That's great....now for the interview date...come on NVC!!!!!! Please!! Oh & we got case complete 2 weeks ago & NVC sent us an e-mail last night requesting the IV fee to be paid...really??? I called NVC and the operator was like...oh just ignore that. Seriously???
