Hello guyz. We are on k1 visa. We have one of our evidence of our on going relationship are the snail mails. My fiance send me letter before but he write my name on the envelope using his surname not my real last name. We are not yet married but he likes changing it, he said even we are not yet married he considered me as his wife. I love it but this is not the proper time because we are collecting evidence. I told him the next time he will write me a letter used my real surname because I dont wanna get things complicated when I get on my interview. I know the CO will questions me why my surname is different on the mail ( I dont wanna think them that we get married because my visa is k1). Then today he send me another letter changing my surname into his surname again. I get disappointed. I really get upset for this. I'm loosing my patience explaining but he said its just ok. The first time I send him letter he throw the envelope so now my letter is useless because there is no envelope with the stamp. Starting today we need to start sending letters again I hope this time he write the right thing. How I wish he can be a member here so he will understand things about visa but he have no time. My questions is can I still used those letters as my evidence even he write my name on the envelope using his surname not mine? Thanks in advance.

I dont see any problem with that. My husband used to do that too. And he's got the same good ol' reason as your fiance. It was crazy for me at first but I kinda find it cute eventually, lol. The IO didnt even look for any kind of mail as evidence when i was interviewed. If they do ask you, tell them what exactly your fiance has said to you. Good luck!

Dont bring the envelope. Just bring the letter. You are in K1, you might have problem with the CO.

Letter is OK even without the envelope. When i had my interview, i just gave them the content and not the envelope.
