Hi all. My fiance has completed her interview with the Consular but they are asking her to submit an additional NBI Clearance in addition to one she had already submitted, due to some issues with the spelling of her last name. Anyway, she had already submitted it on Mar. 9, 2009 and is still awaiting for word on it. My question is, how long is the usual wait for her to get some kind of word from them? Since, they are only asking for one document from her, will they be asking for more documents once they review that her NBI Clearance is all clear or am I just being paranoid?? Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

I am not sure if it varies from embassy to embassy, I bet it does, but we were required to get an I864A for joint sponsor's spouse. The paperwork given to us told us to allow 4 weeks from the time we mailed the required information in until we got a reply from the consulate. I hope that helps some. Have you heard anything yet?
