I-485, i said no..what now?

On my husbands I-485, i put no, instead of yes when it asks if he was inspected by an immigration officer, even though he really was inpected. (originally i thought it meant, something bad, like patted down for drugs or stopped for doing something or w/e at the border, thats why i put no), i just got my NOA1 today on his I-485, I-131, and I-765, should i call USCIS to let them know if the mistake so that they dont hold it against us? **Keep in mind that i did submit proof that he was inspected by an immigration officer, i sent copies of all the appropriate paperwork needed like hs K-1 visa, his I-94, and everything that they askd for, showing that he came into the U.S legally and that in fact he was inspected. What do you guys think? Call right away????... cause thats what i am thinking... the sooner u guys let me know, the faster i will be on the phone. Thanks in advance for the help.

Leave it for an RFE, more than likely they will understand the mistake because you did include a copy of visa and I-94.

what do u mean RFE? wait for them to reject us? wont that just take up more time???? Shouldnt i let them know so that they dont reject us, and just acknoledge the mistake and work past it because i did show proof? I dont know what you mean?

RFE = Request for Evidence.

They wont reject this one, they will see the I-94 and Visa which will indicate that you did enter with inspection.

ok... this is my first time doing AOS< so this is probably a stupid question, but what does RFE really mean? Like do they send me a letter???? if theyneed more evidence, wont they just see the I-94 that i already included???? So if they see the proof, why would they do the RFE??

Should i just clear all this up now by calling and letting them know that it was a typo, and that i included proof that he entered the U.S legally so maybe they wont give me problems or take longer?

There is no harm in trying. If you actually get to speak with someone that can help you great, its just unfortunately not that simple. All you are calling is a call center. They may log the call and what you say so, again, its worth the try. Just don't be surprised or concerned should an RFE pop through the door.

I talked to a lady, she said that i can send a letter to the address on the bottom of the NOA1 of the I-485, and explain what i did wrong, submit a copy of the revised and corrected copy, and submit copies of the proof again, she said that because i had just gotten the NOA1s that they hadnt begun processing anything so that if i send he letter within the next 2 days, that they should get it. She also said that it depends on the person that reviews the paperwork, somepeople go over the paperwork with a fine toothed comb, others go through it more obviously, and will notice the evidence an be more common sense about it.
