AOS Filers: April 2009

Is there a spread sheet going for April AOS filers? Does anybody have the link?

I've been looking at the March one to see how quickly it is going for people.

I haven't seen a spreadsheet for April AOS Filers yet... If anybody has, please let me know. Otherwise I'd start making one tonight

Hi Everyone! So nice to see some familiar faces (and new friends too of course!). We just came back from our wedding, and it was amazing! We had a civil ceremony on March 28 so that we could get our AOS out before we left, and not stress about it. Funny thing is, I mailed it from a post office in downtown Chicago, a few blocks from the lockbox address. And since we mailed it on April 14, the line was out the door (with people sending off tax returns) and it would have just been faster to walk down and drop it off!

We received our NOA's in the mail today, and are pretty sure we'll be getting an RFE for our sponsor's 2008 tax return, but, we're together, so we're not worried... which seems to be the theme so far in this thread.

Is anyone else having trouble putting their receipt numbers in the USCIS website? It's not recognizing any of ours (the AOS, EAD, or AP). Maybe it takes a few days after receiving the NOA?

Good luck to everyone- hope this part's not as stressful as the K-1!

Yep had the same problem. I received my NOA's on the 17th which was a Friday, and I couldn't add them to my portfolio until Sunday, or Monday. It should work after a couple of days.

I completely forgot you could check status online, strange since when we posted our K1 we were both on USCIS 3 times a day for 3 months! hehe. Is it the same page you use to check K1 Status? if it is then my stuff isn't in the system yet either, if it is another link (could someone link me please just to clarify?) then I am using the wrong page!.

It is the same website. https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/jsps/index.jsp

If you previously registered with them, you can just log in and add the I-485, I-765 and I-131 (or whatever you sent in) to your portfolio, they all have a number on their own.

Shelly our numbers start with MSC also, (I guess that's an AOS identification thing?)

For the K1 when I registered the only extra information you get is that they will mail you (to your email inbox) your case status when you are approved. (do they send RFE notices to your email to?)

When you're registered, you can see when your case was last "touched", means somebody accessed it. And, of course, when you have your cases in your portfolio you can set the Email Notifications to "Yes" and you'll get an email, as soon as your case status changes.

I'll attach a picture of my portfolio, so you see what I'm talking about.

I have no idea if they would email you RFE's. So they email you they are sending something in the mail? I guess that would be helpful since I've read on here that some people's letters have been lost in the mail. At least you would be on the look out for it.

I never got a RFE for my K1, but I don't think that they would send you the request per Email. The notification that you'll get a RFE in the mail, yes, that would be likely.
