Lots of good news in here- congrats everyone!

When I checked the EAD on the 22nd it said "Card production ordered" but then on the 27th I got the official email that said "Card production ordered" and now the date has changed to the 27th and there's no mention of the 22nd on the website? I'm not sure if we'll be getting two letters now or what? Very confusing.

Same here. Got "card production ordered" on the 18th and then on the 21st again. I received my card in the mail on the 26th around noon and like 10 minutes later the online status changed to "Approval notice sent".

You'll only get one card. My theory is that the first date is the actual card production ordering and the 2nd date is when the physical card is received by the service center so it can be sent to the applicant. I mean they probably don't make those cards in their basement, do they?

I have experienced the same pattern of activity on these EAD emails. First two, that the card production was ordered, then another today, saying that the EAD was approved. Most likely we will see the cards in the mailbox sometime in the new week? A little over two weeks now, until interview for GC !!

Best to everyone here !! ;)

Hi Everyone!!

Marco got his AP in the mail today!!!

We checked our EAD status and it said that May 29th EAD was approved and the status says "card production ordered"!!!:dance::dance::dance:

We were worried at first because everyone seemed to get both the EAD and AP on the same day. I don't know what we were thinking but we kept just checking the status of the 485 only. We didn't know we had to check the status of each item seperately on USCIS  hahaha now we know

We've begun to stalk the mail lady, not knowing if she is going to be a friend or an enemy depending on what she brings that day. So anyways happy news this Sat!! Our mail lady is awesome!!! :D

I have a quick question for you guys. I already have a SSN with my maiden name and want to get this changed as soon as my EAD is here. Do I have to go to a specific office (say Oklahoma City where we are registered and USCIS has the address) or can I go in Tulsa where I will be working shortly?? Does anyone know?

Congratulations on all those who have received their EAD!

My husband and I went to the Boston USCIS office yesterday to get his briometrics done. His appt date was June 2 but based on other's past experiences I assumed we'd have no problems going early--and we were mostly problem free. We did have a little scar however, when the lady at the desk looked at our appt date and said "Uh oh, this is not your appt date, I'm going to have to check with my supervisor..." and she disappeared for a little while--I was a little nervous! Her supervisor gave the approval but with a warning to come at our appointed time next time! It didn't make much sense to me, since the place was practically empty--maybe 5 people there! We were in and out in 15 minutes. But whatever, they let us get it done which is all that matters!!:thumbs:

i would be really suprised that someone who adjusted from VWP has not to go to an interview...that would be the first case i know....dont wanna destroy ur hope but i could imagine that they transfer the case back to an local office

not destroying my hope at all, I appreciate your honesty.

I agree, I think she'll end up having an interview. we're going to get cracking on her evidence.

yep, Goldfee, you were right. The I-485 got transferred back to NBC.

OK.

I got the magic email from CRIS saying welcoming the new permanent resident.

It talks about ADIT processing.

What does this mean?

Application Type: I485, APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS

Current Status: Notice mailed welcoming the new permanent resident.

On May 27, 2009, we mailed you a notice that we had registered this customer's new permanent resident status. Please follow any instructions on the notice. Your new permanent resident card should be mailed within 60 days following this registration or after you complete any ADIT processing referred to in the welcome notice, whichever is later. If you move before you get your new card call customer service. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow the link below to register.

and then I also got this email:

*** DO NOT RESPOND TO THIS E-MAIL ***

The last processing action taken on your case

Application Type: I485 , APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS

Current Status: Card production ordered.

On May 27, 2009, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow the link below to register.

I got the card production ordered first on May 27 then the Notice mailed welcoming the new permanent resident on May 28 which says about ADIT.

Makes me confuse.
